2024-06-03 06:32:08 +0000 UTCI get your feelings on certifications and the ridiculous lengths people will go for them. However, in the context of the show, you get ANY 1 spell you want. Be honest, a ton of people in real life would go to the same lengths for that possibility and it would be reasonable. Also, the test is within a day, don't believe that anyone would garner new abilities within such a tiny window. Teamwork and formulating matchups is a great option.

2024-06-03 02:50:48 +0000 UTCI think I'm in the minority in genuinely not liking Serie, despite my bias towards Killua's voice actor, and it's the classism Alex mentioned plus the emotional immaturity. Yes, she is knowledgeable and smart, but she doesn't know herself very well and doesn't seek to know. The speech about putting off things you should do for centuries seems to me like a confession, and while I don't mind people having flaws, even severe ones, Serie seems all too willing to judge others for things she herself avoids. It's a little too pre-teen angsty for me, haha. Anyway, guess we have to add healing to the list of things that Methode can do. As a fellow jack-of-all-trades, I am very happy with her contributions. :) Alex's various pronunciations of Gungi from HxH and Zoltraak here are also a great source of entertainment, π

I now think it doesn't just refer to her hair, but also to the fiery spirit she instilled in the people that hungers for magic and progress. She really lit a fire under them. She ignited the flames of their hearts. She- never mind, I'll stop now.

2024-06-03 01:36:31 +0000 UTCAs you alluded to, Serie's CONSTANT declaration that she merely trained Flamme on a whim, rings pretty similar to Frieren's "it was a mere 10 years". Considering the fact that Serie basically remembers everything about Flamme, from her time with Flamme's younger self, to her favorite spell, to her dreams, it seems she knows more about Flamme, than she wanted to admit. She definitely wouldn't have cared enough to remember if Flamme really was someone Serie picked up on a mere whim. Lol, after she tore up Flamme's letter, Serie said she and Flamme didn't understand each other, but we're met with the contradiction that they knew each other quite well. Lol elves will do anything but admit that they care about others. Also, it's my head cannon that Serie went through all 5 stages of grief in a few seconds, because the whiplash I felt from her telling Frieren to leave, and then switching to asking Frieren to go for a walk through the past together was palpable.
