There is! I hear it often 😅 It's the same, I think written as 칫

Is there a Korean equivalent to 'chi' by any chance? Or is that just a Japanese thing.

15:00-15:22 that roast xD 🔥 I had the same impression of Youpi. I think character design played a key role but overall he seemed like he knew his primary role. He knew his purpose already so he hadn’t thought much on it. He was to protect the king. I mean all three guards would defend the king by any means. They just had different work ethics. Pitou had her eyes set outward, Pouf was attentive whenever possible and Youpi just seemed comfortable in a more offensive approach when protecting. He hasn’t had opportunities to exercised or exorcise his talents, so he’s discovering his true nature on the battlefield among other warriors. I like the respect given because he can appreciate what they were able to do regardless if they had to exhaust all they had at that moment. Youpi went from offensive meat shield to a forceful champion by the end of this battle. I like that his growth was due to circumstances throughout the battle with these guys. They are great.

a lot of final bosses in anime tend to have a raid boss-esque final battle. here it’s literally just youpi, the grunt of the final boss, yet they still lost.

What makes me baffled is that youpi bust was above 1kk and he is'nt even the king

Sonozaki Shinji

That's a huge thing to omit, yeah

Curious fact about the scene between Killua and Meleoron: This scene is probably the most poorly translated scene in the entire anime, taking into account all the weight it has and how much the bad translation ruins it. In this scene, after Killua says he will return to Gon's side, Meleoron asks what they will both do next, and to this, Killua responds that, in the worst case scenario, Gon will give his life to defeat Pitou. ( In most adaptations, it was translated this way ). The problem is that, in the original japanese, Pitou is never mentioned in this dialogue, what Killua actually says is that, in the worst case scenario, he and Gon will die together. He even uses the word "shinjū" ( 心中 ), which has a very deep meaning. It's basically when people decide, out of love, to die together, in the hope of finding each other and being together for eternity in the afterlife. Not to mention, this scene is a direct reference to the scene where Gon and Killua are stargazing together, in episode 37. At the end of this scene, we can see a shooting star in the sky, and this star is there to seal their promise and desire to be together forever. This scene is so beautiful and so sad at the same time taking into account everything that happened so far. Mainly, taking into account everything that has happened so far. And the fact that it is so poorly translated is really sad.

Finally the episode that shows why Youpi is the most wholesome Royal Guard

This episode really feels like a major turning point in the invasion sub-arc. I’d been waiting for a chance to talk more about Youpi, and finally we can start to see where all the guards stand. To call back to that scene before the invasion where the king asks his guard for their opinion on names, we can really see just how far Youpi has come. Pouf and Pitou are leaning further into the direction of the answers they gave, while the opposite has happened for Youpi. His answer was basically, “Your question is beyond my ability to answer.”, which at the time was accurate to his characterization. He is a shield to the king, and thought beyond that was not only unnecessary, but literally beyond him. Now he’s actively made a decision that he knows has a chance to be harmful to the king, but he makes it anyway because it’s what he feels is right.
