Wow, thank you will fix all

This video is also not in the HxH collection, as well as 102 and 136.

Yes, I also think it fits with in with one of the main themes of fmab which is sacrifice. If you give your all in something and really strive for it with everything you have you leave a piece of yourself with it. I also like that representation in hxh when great craftsman leave nen in their works.

Honestly, I've always thought that the whole "in goes 10, but out comes 11" thing from the very end of FMA does not get enough credit or thought. People treat it as some throwaway line that comes out of the blue, but I think Alex is really getting to the heart of this idea that we're not just trying to convert things from X to Y, but also leave a greater legacy behind.

Alex trying to beat equivalent exchange.

I suddenly want Tommy Wiseau to play live action Pouf.

We really should have a Patreon poll for best characters in the chimera ant arc 😄

The good news is that the manga is ongoing so we could get new episodes or an entirely new adaptation at some point in the future.

I see I see human relantionships are complex like that huh, let me go back to my gachas live is easier there! /s

Sonozaki Shinji

18:35 “that was the idea…” as in he was initially trying to buy time but actual emotion peeked through

All Palm needed to become mentally well adjusted was to be captured and turned into an ant. It was so simple. RIP to the best characters such as “Where is Palm?”, and “The Central Staircase”, but at least we have Palm again.

Oak

Very dismissive for a man of ideas

Fascinating

The narrator doesn't explicitly tell you (he's dropping the ball on this tbh) but to explain what Pouf did a little bit when he was escaping the room with Gon and Pitou. He left behind enough of his cells to create basically a hollow shell of his full size clone in the room. (Still very powerful obviously, but he talked about how his clones were nowhere near his true power when inner monologuing about Morel.) He told Youpi he needed some time for his cells to escape unnoticed so that's why that whole side eye conversation started. Pouf started the scene as his little chibi self and ended it full grown. His real body and probably most of him is flying with Youpi to the King, but there's still a few chibi Pouf's flying around and keeping an eye on things around the castle.

I was more thinking this one: https://youtu.be/JI2cPGVJ4qw?si=XYhT_lqMcq_rYu9S

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the many perspectives on love and self-actualization for each of these characters. We're starting to get to the pay-off part of the arc, but there are at least another few minutes in anime time to the invasion. One random aside. Not sure how distinct it is in English, but Pouf at 28:26 says his line "sore dake no koto" again. They translate it as "that's all there is to it," but I'm not sure how much that stands out. It's meant to be Pouf's tagline, and I think it's a little interesting to compare that to, say, Yupi, where his biggest realization is that almost nothing and no person can be neatly brushed off as "all there is to it."

Ryan

All you need is love…

I think you've mentioned it before. But, it's really interesting how during the Hunter Exam we all thought Killua would be the domineering one and not Gon.
