My Hero Academia 7x11 Reaction Extended (YT link below)
Added 2024-08-07 02:35:55 +0000 UTCIn MHA 7x11, Light Fades To Rain, Mirio comes in and phases right through Shigaraki's heart. Bakugo doesn't cry he sweats out his eyes.

So proud of Tamaki! But man, they really did that Bakugou moment justice - phenomenal! And your immediate denial, I feel you! That was so brutal though, can't help but wonder if it couldn't actually stick? I was very, very afraid when I read it, not gonna lie.

2024-08-16 01:51:40 +0000 UTCI think that the subtitle makers might not have understood the expression "kingyo no fun" (goldfish poop). It doesn't mean that he's ranks beneath him. Being "goldfish poop" to somebody means being one of the NPCs with no relevance who's always hanging around the actual person of interest. So, essentially Shigaraki is saying that Bakugo is just One-for-All's "supporting cast." (But yeah, it's One for All's, not All for One's)

2024-08-08 01:03:02 +0000 UTCI love how much faith you have in Mirio and the belief that he is this incredible, ultimate trump card... But like, in this situation, against Shigaraki, he's really not 😭 The most damage he did was making fun of Shigaraki being friendless and getting one shot in on his face WHILE he was being plasma cannon'd. I hate to say it, but being able to keep other villains away and just communicating quickly between all parts of the coffin in the sky is probably the best use for him here.

2024-08-07 16:31:20 +0000 UTCThere's always the slim chance that they'll have anime exclusive content in the firm of epilogues, for example

2024-08-07 16:27:10 +0000 UTCThis episode ends with the ending of chapter 362. Seems like usually 3-4 chapters get adapted per episode. This season is only going to be 21 episodes instead of the usual 25, so only 10 more eps after this. I'm wondering which chapter the season will end on, it could be anywhere from 395-405, I'm sure it will be easier to estimate as we get closer to the end. In any case, there will still be anywhere from 25-35 chapters to adapt, I wonder how they will do that. Maybe they'll do the same thing Attack on Titan did? Have 2 or 3 extra-long eps? 1 movie? Or maybe just have the final season be only 8-12 eps?

2024-08-07 12:58:23 +0000 UTCUploaded this late so I wound up missing all the initial action. 😭 I can’t say anymore then what’s already been said. The anime made this episode hit like a truck even more then the manga did. We were left with a break after this dropped, and now you will be too. Because the dub is going to be on break again next week probably because the anime has gone on break AGAIN due to the Olympics. So the dub for episode 12(the 150th episode) won’t be until August 17th.

2024-08-07 10:48:40 +0000 UTCEven as someone who doesn't like the dub that much, this season and this episode in particular was incredibly handled. Clifford Chapin might have my favorite performance in this show in terms of the english dub!

2024-08-07 06:07:35 +0000 UTCi’m surprised no one mentioned this: My Hero Academia just finished! the manga had it’s final chapter (chapter 430) release last Sunday. the first chapter came out on July 7th, 2014. TEN YEARS OF GREATNESS. it also reached 100 MILLION copies in circulation recently, one of only a couple dozen manga have achieved this (with many spanning decades with triple digit volume numbers). I hope Horikoshi gets some rest, this series was era-defining for the manga industry.

2024-08-07 04:38:50 +0000 UTCI agree 100%. Almost 3 episodes in a row of peak music. Shoto's monologue and his fight with Dabi, Endeavor's Prominence Burn, and this episode with the Big Three Flashback and Bakugo's scene. All so incredible and every choice fits the emotions of each scene perfectly.

2024-08-07 04:19:56 +0000 UTCGreat episode, but one thing I thing I thing gets undersold is the music. MHA’s music and OST’s are so good

2024-08-07 04:15:30 +0000 UTCGod this episode was so good. Broke me at the end. Bakugo since the start has always had a spot as one of my favorite characters and to see his growth and how exponential it was is just amazing and has made me love him more than I could've imagined. All the dub VA's were fantastic, they really put the emotion into this episode. My only slight qualm was from Aizawa's VA at the start. The Japanese VA put a ton of emotion into him calling for the heroes to protect Bakugo, where I felt the English fell flat. I wish they put emphasis on Aizawa's past thoughts of Shirakumo. Aizawa didn't want his students to give their own life for justice like Shirakumo would've, then seeing Bakugo end up doing that very thing. I've always felt Eraser has an underrated bond with Bakugo. From the outside, a lot of people always saw Bakugo's anger and would judge him for it. Eraser always focused on his desire to want to be number 1 and was always in his corner. For sure one the best episodes of the whole series.

2024-08-07 04:07:19 +0000 UTC"Seeing Bakugo get ragdolled... is upsetting." oh boy you're not gonna like how this episode ends :( One interesting difference I noticed with the dub... "You'll always be garbage compared to One for All" is what Shigaraki tells Bakugo. In the sub, it's translated as "No matter how far you try to go, you're just goldfish poop next to All for One." And in the manga, he says "No matter the heights you reach, you'll never be more than Izuku Midoriya's hanger-on-a minnow in One for All's Wake." Never heard that expression "hanger-on-a minnow" before. Also just feel like it has to be an error somewhere due to how the manga references OFA, the japanese subtitles reference AFO, and then the dub references OFA. In any case, the intention/purpose of what Shigaraki says and the impact it has remains consistent. But I'm kinda confused about it lol Seeing the tears dropping from Bakugo's eyes as Jeanist is asking him to give him his arm so he can give him first aid... It really hits diff seeing it animated. Seeing Bakugo remain focused while in such emotional distress... Omg :(

2024-08-07 03:56:01 +0000 UTCI cried. Bakugous character is so beautiful! Honestly I think after this development, he might even surpass Lemillion as my favorite hero

2024-08-07 03:30:18 +0000 UTCThe whole cast and crew knows how much this show means to people and how much it means to themselves too, afterall the main cast have been playing these characters to about 10 years now.

2024-08-07 03:02:10 +0000 UTCGreat performance, seems like the dub cast as a whole really puts a lot into this show. Along the same lines the more I watch this episode the more I appreciate the execution and animation of certain moments. For example Bakugo dripping blood as he walks back up to Shigaraki, pieces of his broken gear landing around him as he dodges, Best Jeanist trying unsuccessfully to catch him (😭) and of course every shot of Mirio

2024-08-07 03:01:31 +0000 UTCGive the biggest respects to Clifford Chapin for giving his absolute all for voicing Bakugo this episode and even tweeted that he spent a whole hour on his last words making sure he gave his best performance for his last go. RIP Katsuki Bakugo one of the best characters in this whole show.
