Also, never, ever expected the Bunny Hero to become the most terrifying; no joke, at this point, she scares me. Mad respect, but she's hella scary! You know, I've been on a whole journey regarding the Mirio thing. When we first get to meet him, he's awesome! The guy who could have been the next All Might, someone who can contain Overhaul even while quirkless, I don't doubt Knighteye's prediction at all. Then he comes back in the war and it's this awesome, uplifting moment, but ultimately, he doesn't really accomplish much? And I go, "that's disappointing, but hey, maybe he's a little out of practice, it's been half a year and he literally just got his quirk back yesterday, I'll let it slide". And then this happens. Awesome, uplifting entrance, then it turns out he's literally the weakest one of the big three and while he is contributing, compared to everyone else, it doesn't amount to much and ultimately, he's turned into a joke. I was super salty. Didn't like it at all. But watching this episode got me thinking about it again, and I've reframed things for myself. It's a matter of perspective. Mirio isn't the problem. If these were normal villains, he could handle it, but they are not. These are abnormal Nomu, bioengineered, multiple quirks, regeneration... An apocalyptic threat that only the heavy hitters can really take on anymore. And we've been following a lot of those (Bakugou, Endeavor, Deku) so that's our normal now. But it's really not. So it turns out Mirio is more akin to a Hawks. Awesome Hero in his own right, but more specialized and not a powerhouse. I guess his catchphrase being "Power!" wasn't helping with the misconception. What's so great about Mirio is his personality and mindset, his charisma, but he's not super powerful and his quirk isn't that amazing. What's amazing is what he made out of it! Looking at it like that has helped me make peace with the whole thing.

Sadness is akin to losing A family member to a inevitable car crash Whereas tragedy is more akin to losing someone to a drunk driver. It didn't need to happen.

And with it came a lot of “Oh no he’s hot!” SpongeBob memes. 😂 NTM the anime had been getting his eye color wrong the entire time, before this it was always portrayed as red, but with this it was revealed they were actually white. Mirio’s moment reminded me a lot of Peter Quill’s distraction from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie actually.
