It's sad that modern culture makes it seem like an incredibly nice character can't even be realistic. I didn't like her character much at first either but i think season 2 and even the latter part of season 1 really help flush her character out. Rem is still best girl though because you can't have episode 18 without her.

Man is very painfull seeing he losing all his progress on relationships everytime, the mystery and world build are things that i really like on re:zero hope you will enjoy it too!

That is also why we love him though. But i disagree about emilia though. No spoilers but giving her backstory and how she was raised i think her current state of naivety makes sense.

2024-09-19 07:19:43 +0000 UTCEven if you have the same 12-16hrs to work with, whether you wake up at 07:00 or 13:00, the fact is that the vast majority of people have to interact with one another to get work done and usually people are open for business between ~ 09:00 and 19:00. So waking up later does offer a smaller window to work with the world. You can't really go around doing goofy stuff when you don't know what's the condition of the checkpoint. What if it autosaves AFTER you did something bad? Wake - Visit Beatrice - Get knocked out - (Checkpoint) Wake "You keep looking at Barusu because his hair is bothering you right?" - It's not anything else you might be thinking is weird or suspicious, RIGHT? Emilia seems very not-person-like at all, I agree. She's like a trope that the writer thought "I have to make the best character so people understand they must like her"

Also makes it sadder that he builds these relationships over a full week and loses it all each time. Also love some of the jokes he makes even if a lot of them don't land lol.

2024-09-19 03:27:37 +0000 UTCAlso, a bit of stuff that was cut from the source material last episode. I’ll only mention this stuff if it’s worldbuilding details. Since Re: Zero is adapted from a novel series and not a manga, theres things that have to be cut for time. One from last episode would be when Elsa throws her blade at Reinhard and it twirls around him. This is actually an ability of his, a Divine Blessing. These are granted to individuals in the world, by the world itself. (Felt showcased hers in episode 1) And his was the ability to not be hit by attacks he hasn’t seen before. Some of these little details are mentioned in the Re: Zero Breaktime short series that aired alongside the season, but I understand if you don’t want to watch that as well, so I’ll mention the stuff it brings up in the comments whenever it’s relevant.

2024-09-19 01:48:10 +0000 UTCRe: Zero day! Love watching these eps on a rewatch. So many tiny details and bits of foreshadowing. Many new characters introduced, won’t say much about them yet, but they’re all wonderfully fascinating and complex. You might Recognize Roswaals VA as Zeke from AOT. Subaru continues to bumble and be an asshole, but I’ve always loved the moment where he tries to pull the moon stunt when they’re inside, as well as his moments of sincerity in these early eps that shine through when he’s not treating things like a video game.
