I was also a little on the side of hovering my cursor over the X for that one scene, but I had been hearing a lot of people talking about this series so I hung in there. I'm a veteran anime watcher who got that random VHS from someone who told me nothing about it, but I watched it because it was anime, and then was forever scarred..... in the old days it's amazing what wasn't marked as hentai, but should have been. So I was getting nervous to say the least. But I am excited for this series! And I just enjoy the Japanese VA who is known for voicing Tanjiro. In some Demon Slayer eps where he is really over reacting to the Hashira or his buddies made me really want to hear his voice in a sillier role. So I can't wait to watch this series along with you! Also, Creepy Nuts did the 2nd OP for Mashle which was soo good! It's still on my playlist and I knew it was them the minute I heard one syllable. Even if you don't watch Mashle, I would recommend listing to their song for the OP Bling Bang Bang Born. ( ^ _ ^ )b

Definitely stays fanservice there is definitely some but nothing like in this first episode, and most of it will just be in this season (for reference there are enough chapters for about 4 similar length seasons so far). personally kinda glad since it was one of my least favorite aspects of this early section.

2024-10-11 04:58:01 +0000 UTCthat one scene was a little much, but tbh it’s recently pretty common for some manga to go ham on the fanservice early on to keep from getting axed bc most of it in the series is only in the first few dozen chapters. but either way, Dandadan is one of the most unique series I’ve seen and carves out such a unique identity. funnily enough, like the Spy x Family author, the Dandadan author, Yukinobu Tatsu, is also a former assistant of the author of Chainsaw Man. Tatsu is easily one of the best illustrators in the whole magazine, and I’m genuinely very glad the animation does it justice. Some authors need some time to evolve their artstyles, but Tatsu’s art is a feast for the eyes from the first chapter.

Apparently the mangaka was inspired by their music when he wrote the manga and so he got them to do music for the anime adaptation as well. I've never heard of this show but I am reeeeeally digging the OP

2024-10-11 01:37:32 +0000 UTCyou've probably already heard this fun fact but the guy who created this manga was an assistant for tatsuki fujimoto, the creator of chainsaw man! two other former fujimoto assistants include tatsuya endo, the creator of spy x family and yuji kaku, the creator of a popular series called hell's paradise. i think fujimoto's actually the youngest and newest to the industry out of all of them but it's nice to see what they may or may not have picked up from one another while working together
