As a graduate of Glasgow University, I was tapped on the head by a hat (no idea whose) with the words 'Te quoque' which I believe effectively means 'and you too'. It was also awkward when I got my first job and had to present my degree, which is a big square of nice paper with a stamp and a lot of stuff written in Latin. A bit pretentious, especially when you see that it is signed by 'Brianus Scottus' which is just silly!

2025-06-24 13:46:40 +0000 UTCIn Uppsala its not every day. When I was younger it was only, in one of the days, during exam-weeks (usually every 5th week in Sweden). And always at the same time in the evening. I don't know if its more often now, like every week? But it is to scream out your anxiety for exams. It's in a part of Uppsala called Flogsta where a lot of students live.
