Call of the Void WIP (Tharja, Fire Emblem)

She's a design I come back to again and again, especially when I want to play around with new ideas. My goal with this particular piece is to lean harder on stylization, exaggerate the pose more, and simplify things -- I feel like I've been getting too bogged down in unnecessary details lately. The final version may end up pretty different than this work-in-progress, but that's half the fun of experimenting!
I think good art doesn't need to be intricate or complicated. As long as you're communicating what you want to communicate in an aesthetically pleasing way, you're succeeding (in my opinion).
Also, the fact that there's a new Tharja unit in Fire Emblem Heroes is entirely a coincidence, lol.
