I actually made my own HD version of the water tile sprites from Pokemon Red/Blue, then overlayed that in perspective on the pool water -- and then ended up adding some extra "sparkle" pixels to break it up a bit more naturally.
Hopefully the whole thing feels cute and retro and colorful and fun. 🙏 It makes me weirdly nostalgic (as Pokemon is wont to do).
