Sketchbook 19 - Wonder Woman (Super Friends)

Before the comics, my first introduction to Wonder Woman was first watching the Super Friends Cartoon in the mid-70s and then with Lynda Carter in the TV show. Probably the first print version of her was from coloring books (where I first learned to draw from), then Presto Magic and Shrinky dinks. The first comic I think I saw her in was in the early 80s, Because my Aunt Zola May from Kentucky, brought me a paper grocery bag filled with Wonder Woman comics with the covers torn off she got from her favorite Paperback Exchange where she got all her comics and romance novels.

I think it ran until 1985. They brought in some of the characters from Kenner's Super Powers line to help promote the toys. I started watching it in the mid-70s when I was very young, but The challenge of the Super Friends with the Legion of Doom is what I remember the most, which came out in the late 70s, when I started elementary school.

Never grew up with the super friends but I caught a few reruns when I was little

Me too and it's easy to draw, which is what they went for in those days of animation.
