(The story's not part of the commission. The sketch was just "Lilly frustrated at an accounting problem, tearing her clothes." I just wanted to add the extra. Flesh her out a bit more.)
Todd was never particularly great at his job, but he was related to some special account holder, so Lilly was forced to take him on in her part of the firm. Normally she had full control of her hires, and was brutally selective. Stupid mistakes meant overtime, and overtime didn't mean more money as a salaried accountant. It meant less time for the gym, less time for food, and much, much more "Hangry Lilly". Lilly tolerated Todd, but made sure to give him only the most menial, basic tasks to avoid having to spend time correcting stupid errors.
A year into Todd's employment, an order came down from the CEO. Todd was getting a major account. 10 figures major. Lilly cringed at the news, and at the end of the first quarter, the news she dreaded hit. Todd's account was a disaster. Billions were missing somehow. This would be an absolute career ender for anyone else, but Todd was invincible. This was going to come down on Lilly's head since she was in charge. She demanded all of Todd's records for the account, physical and digital, and spent days in the office sifting through mountains of paperwork and spreadsheet after spreadsheet. After 5 straight days of 16-hour shifts, Lilly spotted something. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She leaned in, her custom steel-reinforced chair squealing in protest. Her traps folded her ears towards her face as she hunched over. Her heart started pounding, her veins in her arms visibly pulsing and thickening with each beat. Her shirt ripped at the sleeves in an instant as her muscles became engorged with blood, and she snapped her pen in half between her fingers.
"I can't fucking believe it. His. Ass. Is. Mine." Lilly snarled at the computer. There it was. The dumbest, most painful error she had ever seen was staring back at her. In one column, it said "Paulina". The next column, the actual account column that tracked performance for the client read "-1016894277".
"Five. Days. For a fake phone number!!!" Lilly stormed out of her office, and, forgetting to turn her shoulders to fit through the doorway, took a visible chunk of the frame with her.
The chip was still on her shoulder when she reached upper management's office. Todd was fired the next day, and Lilly's subordinates turned the chip into a trophy for her office. She was famous for never losing her temper, so no one could pass the opportunity to make the "Chip on Lilly's Shoulder" a literal item for everyone to chuckle at.
