Patreon Paused for March

Just a quick update here. You will not be charged for your pledges this March. I've been drawing during a lot of my free time, but I'm not really keeping up, and February is apparently bringing the breaking point where I definitely need more time. These drawings take a good chunk of time (the sketches take a little over an hour usually), and I'm feeling rushed on the Fate pack to get them done by tomorrow...and by rushed I mean that I could barely finish Ishtar and Jeanne, and have 0 chance of finishing Saber in time. Rather than flush the quality down the toilet, I figured it's better to take off the pressure and do these properly.
Beyond that, I'm also hoping to use March to evaluate this Patreon. It's doing better than ever, but I'm definitely investing a ton of time. It's fun drawing for you guys, but I want to make sure that it stays fun and engaging and not "Oh my god, I'm out of time! What am I even doing this to myself for?!" ^-^; I want to offer you guys art that you want to see and that I want to make while maintaining a production schedule that keeps things going strong.
Also, I have a story for a comic I wanted to do, but there's literally no way for me to try to make anything with the time I have. I get one or two practice pieces for me to learn and experiment, then commissions, then the Exclusive pack, and BAM!...next month is here.
Btw, if any of you guys have any tips on how I could reach more people or improve the Patreon as a business, feel free to drop a comment or shoot me a DM. Bad ideas are welcome too. Sometimes they turn into good ideas! : D
(Side note: I paused the pledge charges, but Patreon says that NEW patrons will still be charged, so if you sign up brand new in March, I'll just treat it like you signed up in February.)

I'm not actually gonna stop drawing this month, but not having new items piled on my plate should give me some space to come up with new things. I like doing the exclusive packs, but I need to find a way to cut down the time on them. I want to do a comic, but I can't if I'm juggling everything else. I like doing commissions (usually), but I kind of noticed that I'm charging next to nothing again (the sketch is functionally $5 on top of the double exclusive tier). It's just too much to evaluate and experiment with to have a pile of mandatory art crop up on my plate.

2020-02-29 22:57:05 +0000 UTCTo be fair, I kinda needed to explain. People might think I quit if my Patreon just poofed into thin air tomorrow. A break is different, but online culture definitely isn't used to the idea of content creators stopping for any amount of time.

Honestly, I don’t think any of us would mind waiting longer, if that means that you’re getting some well deserved rest. As for business solutions, unfortunately I suck with money and stuff like that so I can’t really say what would help... But I still love your stuff and will continue supporting you!
