2023-02-24 09:41:58 +0000 UTCI wanna make a joke about seeing Michelle Trachtenberg, but I'm worried it'll come off as creepy instead of corny, so I'll refrain. Yeah, Kristin Kreuk... I enjoyed the first few seasons of Smallville well enough, I guess. 1-3 were solid; I'm not sure any episode stands out, but the show was telling a story and from the beginning to the end of each season, it felt like it was going somewhere. But it was successful, so they made it 10 seasons instead of 4, so they essentially spun their wheels for the remaining 6, and you could tell. (IMO the biggest problem was not ditching their "no flying, no tights" rule; made sense if it was 4 seasons during high school, but if you're doing 10 seasons, you need to start telling some Superman stories. Probably around season 4-5. Also, he flew *all the time*, just it was always some alien or magic being or Lionel Luthor taking over his body and immediately realizing, "oh, this dude can fly; might as well fly" then Clark regaining control but never figuring it out.) I thought the 4th season was pretty fun, but after that, MAN you could tell they were spinning their wheels. Anyway... Kristin Kreuk played Lana. I always wondered why she didn't have a bigger career. If I had to guess, I'd probably assume it's because she's maybe the worst actress I've ever seen, completely devoid of talent, just a talent blackhole. I forgot Lucy Lawless was in this movie. More like Lucy Flawless, amirite?
