I forgot how many Veronica Mars actors were on this.

Wasn't really my cup of tea but I am very hit or miss with comedies. Still, if Ana makes it I will watch it.

It was on Starz, so... yeah, flew under the radar. And while the cast is pretty deep, neither Adam Scott nor Lizzy Caplan had blown up yet.
I hope you enjoyed it. There are about 5 shows I have in my top tier that I want Ana to check out; I pushed for this one because it's only 2 seasons, 8 eps per, so I figured we could knock it out quickly.
(Most of the shows I recommend are 3 seasons or less. I just think about how if The Office or 30 Rock or Parks and Rec win... the latter 2 are pretty good, but it's a little daunting to think about having to spend that time with one show unless I REALLY REALLY love it. Even Archer... I really like Archer, but 7 seasons or so was enough, IMO.)

I had never heard of this show. Is Dave doing Harley again?

I think my favorite joke in the whole show is
"What if Ronald Reagan quit?"
"Acting? He did."
"That's where I got the idea."

Hmmm... yeah, I love this show. I think the first 2 episodes really hit the ground running. The 2nd episode isn't my favorite but it has so much great stuff, if you aren't into it after 2 eps, it's not like it gets that much better (and it's 2 seasons, 8 episodes per season, something like that, so it's not like it has a ton of time to grow. The 1st ep of the 2nd season might be my favorite? It has Mary from Psych - you may know him as the Man in Black from Westworld? But to me, he'll always be Mary from Psych - and he kills it, as you would expect. What a fucking weird, funny, weird dude.)
I feel like the 2nd-hand cringe is the worst in that 2nd episode (although I haven't watched the show in a while, maybe I'm blocking out some of it from my memory), but man some of the jokes... I keep wanting to call him Dick, I forget his name in this show, but when he asks Constance how big a bird would have to be to scare her, and she just breezes past it "I don't know... I can't give you a good answer right now and that's such a good question" is just so funny to me.
The entire motivational speech being "Jim Abbott" is so great. I love that whole back-and-forth with the two conservative dudes and Henry. "I'm a liberal, it's not your problem." Henry's nod to Lizzy Caplan to let her know it's okay to call the dude a shrimp. Henry's seemingly being in on the "Jim Abbott" thing but when Lizzy Caplan looks at him because she has no idea what they're talking about (as the 2 conservative dudes walk away) he just shrugs cause he has no idea... "Like what? I *love* spitting."

Pretty sure the $14 was just their tips. At the beginning of the episode, blonde dude said something about take the guaranteed $20 rather than put out the tip jar. Ron said why not bet on ourselves, meaning bet they'd make more than $20 per in tips. They lost, like the writer dude said they always do.
