(Quest Suggestions) SongsTress Quest Episode 18 - Better Get This Party Started!

(Quest update time! Members of Star Tier or above can suggest actions for next week's episode, and they'll be voted on on Wednesday!)

The Story So Far...

When you remade the building, you made sure to turn the stairwell next to you into an elevator that could take you to any floor - and most importantly, straight to the stage. It's where you want to be, after all! But annoyingly, you need to make a stop in the security office. Ugh, Serenities are the worst.

"What've we got?" You ask as you stride in, your butterfly hovering behind you. The security hub is a small maze of monitors and security feeds, spread across a big room filled with big tiddy punks. Of course it is. It looks exactly like you expected a security hub to look like. God, being a Sovereign is the best.

"We've got a group of three magical girls in the entrance foyer, Mistress." One of the punks salutes you. Ah, you wonder where your very first punk got to. Hopefully she's on her way - you left her guarding your backup dancers, and now you have an entire security force for her to take charge of.

But this is no time to wonder about that. You've got some show-stoppers to deal with. "Show me."

The punk nods, and the big screen on the far wall lights up, showing live footage from the foyer. Just as she said, three magical girls are cautiously entering the room. Green haired Serenity Scribe in the lead, Brunette Serenity Dancer on her right, and Purple haired Serenity Painter on her left. Hm.

Shouldn't there be five of them?

The Serenity Arts - Serenity Style, Serenity Melody, Serenity Scribe, Serenity Dancer, and Serenity Painter. You never paid that much attention to Serenity stuff before you became you, but you know that much. A team of five, led by - Oh, which one was it. The blonde one. Style! Yes, right, Serenity Style. Who... Is not here. Hm.

You frown, checking the footage. "Where the heck is their leader at?"

At your side, your fashion butterfly flutters her wings. "Et lookz like she iz not vith them."

Mm. Well the longer she stays gone, the better. And no Melody, either. Good. You don't need another singer here messing with your music. Weird that the most dangerous Serenities are missing at the moment, but you're not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. If these three are the only ones here, then they're getting your full attention.

"Dial all of the speakers up to maximum. Put the camera feed up on every screen. We're turning this entire place into one big mega-concert." Your eyes narrow as you study your targets. "And by the end of the show? They're going to be my biggest fans."

"Is everyone ready to make some MUSIC?!"

The audience goes wild, screaming and cheering at the sight of you as you emerge on stage, stepping out of your express elevator. You bask in this most wonderful feeling of love and adoration for a moment, before snapping your fingers. The music starts. The hush grows. It's just you at the center of the world now.

Around your stage, gigantic TV screens lower, something for you to watch as you perform. Security footage. Now you can watch the Serenities - ah, they just engaged one of your punk security squads - and you know they can watch you, too. You image is being beamed to every screen, every billboard, every announcement station in here. Which is how you know that the Serenities are glaring right back at you. Perfect! The battle is on.

A battle you're well prepared for. You've been watching them as they fight - you're getting a pretty good grasp of their styles now.

Dancer's the most physical - she's the one zipping around, fighting your security squad back directly with kicks and spins. She's amazing, all of her moves flow like she's been choreographing this battle for months. What you wouldn't give for her dance skills - well, maybe you can take them from her somehow~

Scribe is clearly a back line fighter. She's pulled out an elegant looking notebook, and is writing in it with a fountain pen. As she scribbles, the words fly off the page and take the form of whatever she's written, throwing themselves at her opponents. A whole bunch of punks just went flying when the word 'bowling ball' just rolled through them...

Meanwhile Painter is in the middle, slapping paint down everywhere, sticking your punks to the ground and the floor whenever they can't avoid her brush. Sometimes she takes the time to paint something specific, a quick sketch that immediately comes to life and does her bidding - like that cage with arms that she just drew up that's now running around snatching up punks and locking them inside itself. Seems she can make more complex creations, but can't make as many at once as Scribe. Hmm. Hm.

Now, how do you want to do this...

Your Character Sheet

(You have focused on singing, and singing loudly! First choice: What are you singing first?)

(Second choice: The Serenities are trying to make their way straight for you. As things currently stand, they can take the following route: Foyer - > Hallways - > The Stands - > The Stage. But if you like, you may be able to divert them into different parts of the Stadium of your choosing! (Or you may choose to speed them up). In each 'area', you will have a chance to weaken and corrupt at least one of the Serenities, depending on where they are and how you choose to attack them. If they reach the Stage, however, they will battle you directly, and you are at risk of being hit by the Serenity Seal, which will result in an instant game over! Choose wisely, SongsTress fans! What show do you want to see?)

Comments

Make Dancer into a harem dancer. Arabian harem dancer silks for the win.

Ninja

Lots of options to go here! Personally, I suggest a brainless pop tune to make them dim, confused, and gullible-the easier they are to be influenced by your music the better! For the layout...I say we make the Hallways a maze and try to separate them-combo them with the stupidity inducing song, and then a disorienting environment. If you get one separate from the others, it might be a good opportunity to personally ambush them...
