Blue Blazer In: Sinking Into Isekai

Hey folks!

As always, I hope everything's going well out there. Not much has gone on for me except more writing... And I guess that's what I'm going to keep doing!

So, this week, enjoy a fine tale of superheroines and isekai nonsense. This one was fun to work on, so I hope it's just as much fun to read. Enjoy!

-

Blue Blazer, the amazonian alien hero of the city and three-time winner of the ‘Best Blue Babe’ award from Heroines Monthly, was a kind soul. Despite her origins off in the distant stars, she’d given her all to protect humanity, and the world that she had come to call home.

When she was a in a good mood, she was very respectful of human customs like privacy and patience. She would wait as long as needed for an appointment, and never consider just punching through any doors in her way.

But she was not in a good mood today. Her best friend and sidekick, the spectacular shapeshifter Mimic Gimmick (One time winner of ‘Most Surprising Superheroine’ award from Heroines Monthly, something she still wasn’t sure what she felt about) had been missing for three days – and that was three days too long.

Crack!

The door split open, the thick wood falling to the floor in two pieces, easily ripped from their hinges by the 8-foot-tall alien as she strode into the apartment on the other side. Anyone who saw her now could tell she meant business. Her eyes were blazing, two of her four fists clenched, her antennae stiff as they processed her environment, searching for clues. Following the trail of her missing sidekick had led her to this place. Now she would have answers.

Waiting for her, seemingly unconcerned by the heroine’s obvious anger, not even bothering to rise from the couch on which he was sitting, was a man that she recognised as the villain Show Stopper – a dark haired young human man, probably barely over 20 cycles of age. Villains started so early these days, it was truly worrying.

He was actually a villain that Mimic knew better than she did. The two had fought quite a few times, somehow always while she was off busy dealing with other matters. But since her sidekick was missing, and he seemed to have something to do with it, it was clearly time that he found out how lucky he had been up until now.

“Show Stopper. I am going to give you one chance to make amends, and recant your corrupt ways, before I get forceful,” she said as she marched into the middle of the room and glared down at him. Some might have thought Blue Blazer’s tone to be archaic, or even outright silly – but those who knew her knew that she was deadly serious. Her normal rogues would be quaking in fear right now. “Tell me where Mimic Gimmick is, and you may still walk out of this with your head held high.”

The younger villain made what many would consider to be a big mistake – he didn’t look intimidated in the slightest. Instead, he just grinned, waving at her politely like he was greeting a friend. “BB! Wow, I finally get attention from the big blue herself. Big fan, been waiting for this day for years! And don’t worry about the orange pest. I’ve made sure she’s properly taken care of.”

The hero’s eyes narrowed, fists tightening. The ‘Orange Pest’ was a nickname for Mimic – her orange costume was one of the few things she couldn’t disguise, so villains used it as a pathetic insult. “Where is she?”

“Why, she’s right there.” He gestured behind her.

Obviously, BB wasn’t stupid enough to turn around and expose her back. Fortunately, she had antennae for this kind of thing, giving her a perfect radar-like sense of her surroundings. She knew there was nothing behind her but a TV screen. Ugh, was he about to threaten her with hostage footage?

Resisting the urge to groan, she shifted her feet just a little so she could see the screen – keeping her antennae senses locked on the villain on the couch. But instead of the live footage she expected, the TV was playing a show BB had never seen before…

It was one of those animated ones, which, she had to admit, she adored as an art form. Just imagine the amount of effort that had to go into creating moving pictures from scratch! Such an absurd waste of time – on her home world, they would never- No, not the time for being a human fangirl, what was he trying to show her?

The show was one of those ‘mature’ cartoons from- from… Ah, she couldn’t remember. She was a fan, but she wasn’t an expert. It was that kind of cartoon with more action and blood and- Breasts? Oh. Oh wow, yes, lots of breasts. The women they were putting on screen had hideously unrealistic proportions, all with chests bigger than their heads, with frankly utterly ridiculous clothing designs. How were they supposed to be wearing a bra with that much skin exposed? And if they weren’t, by the novas of Ferovas, their backs must have been killing them…

There was one character on screen that drew her eye in particular. A woman who looked like she was made completely of stone. She’d fought a few creatures like that in her time on this planet, what were they called… golems? Yes, the character was a golem. One who had clearly been sculpted for human sex appeal, with possibly the largest bust in the cast, barely stopped from showing everything by the addition of an orange string bikini to her design.

It was her face that attracted BB’s attention though. Set in stone like the rest of the character’s body, her face chiselled into emotionless stoicism, there was something disturbingly familiar about her features. In fact, for the alien superheroine, there was simply no mistaking them.

“A cartoon? You try to distract me with TV shows?” She snarled, eyes flaring red as she spun back to face the villain on the couch. “Very well – I see you won’t be reasonable about this.”

Yes, that was obviously a character based on Mimic Gimmick, but so what? She knew how cartoons were made, more or less. It was like expecting her to be placated by a stick-figure drawing!

“Hey hey hey,” the villain raised his hands, one of them still holding the TV remote. “Easy, Big n’ Blue, I’m not trying to distract you or rile you up. You wanted to know where your sidekick is, well, she’s right there.”

That was odd. BB had been getting better at spotting the signs of when a human was lying to her, and Show Stopper seemed to be telling the truth. But that made no sense.

“Impossible,” she said, her eyes narrowing, staring at him warily.

“Not at all! That ‘cartoon’ is Mimic, absolutely – though I think we can all agree she’s been improved some. I just gave her a role in my favourite show!”

The heroine found herself hesitating. Suddenly she wished she’d asked her sidekick more questions about what her villains were capable of. “You expect me to believe that?”

The man grinned. “Oh, I’m happy to prove it to you. Have you seen this episode?” He gestured to the TV with his remote-holding hand. “You’ll love it. This one’s a rerun, obviously, but I think it’s time we do a new episode – maybe with a bit more…” His eyes flicked to her, and his grin grew smug. “Mature energy.”

Her brow furrowed, and she stepped towards him, sensing some kind of trick. “Whatever you’re planning-!”

But it was much too late.

Click!

The villain slammed his thumb down on the remote. Instantly, Blue Blazer felt something shift behind her – an unworldly force, like gravity, but far stronger, pulling at her back. Alarmed, she looked over her shoulder, only to see the show had been replaced by a swirling black and white spiral – a strange portal that she found herself inexorably drawn towards.

She tried to resist, tried to fly away, but the suction from the TV screen was far too strong. With a surprised cry, she found herself hurled backwards into the TV, her form stretching and twisting as it whirled down into the centre of the spiral, the villain’s words calling down behind her.

“Enjoy the show, BB! I know I will~

-

When the alien hero opened her eyes, the apartment had disappeared. All that existed around her was the spiral, constantly dragging her downwards.

Images began to flash in front of her – pictures of peaceful blue skies, suspiciously clean medieval cities, grassy planes, and fantastical forests spun around her, all of it looking distinctly artificial. Animated. And soon, a familiar voice filled her ears.

“When I died saving a bus load of orphans from crashing into a ravine filled with innocent baby seals, I thought it was over for me – but actually it was just the start of my adventure!”

“Show Stopper?” She tried to look around, but her senses were still scrambled. She felt like she was being stretched in every direction at once – and unlike Mimic, she didn’t care for the sensation. “Reveal yourself!”

He didn’t pay her any attention, instead continuing the narration. “A goddess from on high met me in the afterlife to tell me that thanks to my heroism, she wanted to give me an OP item and send me into a fantasy world where I could be the hero!”

The images changed, now showing a place that Blue Blazer recognised as a common depiction of the human afterlife – crystal stairs leading up to a golden throne atop a hill of clouds (she’d never understood that one. Clouds were not that solid). Sitting in said throne was a regal looking blonde woman with white wings and a golden glowing sigil floating behind her head – presumably, the goddess being talked about.

And in front of her, standing at the top of the steps, was a man who looked suspiciously like an animated Show Stopper – though instead of his villainous clothes, his outfit looked more… Generic. She couldn’t quite put her finger on how, but it looked less evil, more… average? Plain? Boring? For some reason, it just made it really hard to focus on him rather than everything around him…

“But screw that!”

Suddenly, the images changed. The regal goddess from before was no longer sitting in her throne above Show Stopper – instead, now she was kneeling in front of him, her jaw slack, eyes swirling with red spirals as she stared at something he was showing her.

“Instead, I used my OP item to brainwash her, and then decided to spend my life gathering the greatest harem the universe has ever seen!”

The next image was even more explicit, with the villain now sitting in the golden throne, the goddess now naked and serving as his footrest. In his hand, Show Stopper was playing with a silver ring with a red ruby in it – clearly the ‘OP item’ his narration was talking about.

(Mimic had told her what OP meant once or twice, but BB could never remember. Something important, she was sure.)

Then, just as the images all combined, their view rising over the Villain and his enslaved goddess to plunge down through the clouds towards the world below, big, colourful letters flashed up over everything, displaying the anime’s title.

I couldn't be bothered to fight the demon lord so instead I decided to use my OP mind control powers to gather the world's biggest harem of big boobed hotties with paper thin personalities!

And then everything finally went black.

-

Blue Blazer awoke to find the world making much more sense – but that was a low bar to clear. The swirling spiral was gone, at least. It had been replaced by a world that looked like the images she’d seen during her fall, thick black lines surrounded everything, clearly outlining every object against their neighbours and backdrop. And everything was made of flat colours – the grass a monotonous green, the sky a uniform blue.

A cartoon. She had been sucked into Show Stopper’s cartoon, just like Mimic had. Wonderful.

Looking around, she couldn’t say she recognised her surroundings, though that was no big surprise. She was standing in the middle of a picturesque village – the kind with wooden huts that had never looked anywhere near so nice when she visited them in the real world. In front of her, animated humans were going about their day, as standard fantasy characters judging from their fashion choices (They reminded her of a few movies she’d seen). Behind her was a big wooden building with a sign hanging over the door that proclaimed it to be the ‘Melon Cow Tavern and Inn’, which was certainly… a name.

But as she turned to examine it, her eye caught sight of her reflection in one of the Inn’s front windows, and stopped her dead. What?

She looked down at herself. No, this was… This was all wrong. Where were her arms? She was supposed to have four, but two were missing! And her skin was supposed to be a healthy blue, but instead it was all a tanned beige. Her hair was blonde, so why was she seeing only black? She looked practically human!

No… No, wait, not quite human. Her reflection revealed a few other traits. For one, she was still taller than normal humans. For two, she didn’t think she’d ever seen a normal human with glowing purple eyes like the ones in her reflection. And the pointed ears, those were quite unusual too…

Also, was she bustier than normal? It felt like her chest had doubled in size, but halved in weight, somehow. Hm, just like those characters Show Stopper had shown her. Troubling.

Okay. From what she’d seen, she could make a few assumptions.

Show Stopper had set himself up in this animated show as the protagonist – he’d even shown her some of his powers, and his ‘harem’. Clearly, he was using this show – whatever it may have been before his arrival – to amuse himself. And equally as obvious, if she wanted to escape and rescue Mimic Gimmick, she needed to defeat him. His remote had been what sent her in here – surely it would be the key to her escape.

It sounded simple enough like that, but there were two problems. First, she had to find him, somewhere in this animated world. And second, she had to figure out a way to defeat him without her powers, trapped in this strange almost-human form. She couldn’t even fire energy blasts like this…

Well, one thing at a time. If she could work out where Show Stopper was, then she could hopefully come up with something, even if she was weak. But how to go about that? She didn’t even know where she was-

Riverbrook, a small village in the protectorate of StarterLandia, a common hub for rookie Adventurers.

- Ohhh. BB blinked, putting a hand to her head. What was that? Suddenly a bunch of information had just popped into her head. Facts about her location, its history and its surroundings, as if she’d been here for some time…

Interesting. Had her transformation been more than physical? Was her mind affected as well? Frowning, she concentrated, searching through her brain. If she knew where she was, did she know why she looked like this?

Because she was the elven innkeeper, Tatiana Blueleaf, former merchant who had retired after the death of her husband, an elven soldier who was slain by the Demon Lord.

Oh. Interesting. BB tilted her head as all of that information filtered through her mind. It seemed that she’d been given a specific role in this animated world. Very well. It didn’t seem to be affecting her, besides simply answering her questions, so perhaps that would be useful. Maybe it knew where the protagonist that Show Stopper was pretending to be was-?

The Legendary Hero was journeying through StarterLandia, hunting for allies to aid him in his mission, while helping others through sidequests! He was sure to visit Riverbrook any time now!

Ha. Helping others? Sure he was. The elf rolled her eyes. But very well, then. If he was coming to this place, then she could prepare to meet him here. Yes, that might work. She didn’t need to be strong or fire energy blasts if she could just set up the right kind of trap. Would Show Stopper even recognise her, looking like this?

The animated heroine looked back at the Inn behind her, the Inn she supposedly owned, and considered…

-

… Then she felt dizzy for a moment. That was funny. For a second, it had felt like no time had passed at all since she arrived, but she’d been spending hours getting ready. What a strange sensation. It was as if the reality she was in had skipped over all of the boring parts of her preparations, and just cut to now, the moment she was done. That was silly, though.

That said, judging from the sounds coming down the street, it was also the moment when the protagonist and his party arrived in town. The moment she’d been waiting for. Quickly, she slipped inside the Inn, getting into position.

Down the street, what seemed like a small army of women were walking. Amongst them were all kinds of anime babes – cute healers in robes, confident mages in pointy hats, arrogant swordswomen, boisterous berserkers, sweet girl next door types, twin-tailed tsunderes, the occasional divine goddess… - all of them with out-of-this-world curves that bounced, jiggled, and swayed with every step. The main street of the village was starting to look like the running of the bulls, only with a much softer kind of cattle. Perhaps a marble run would have been a more appropriate comparison.

And at the front of it all, the very vanilla looking protagonist, the hero S. Stopper, chatting with his latest favourite as he walked – the busty stone golem, Kimmi Mimi G.C.C (Golem Crisis Core).

“-So if you could keep an eye out? I think you’ll know her when you see her.”

“As. You. Command. Master.” The golem answered, her synthetic voice giving away no hint of emotion with its flat monotone. Kimmi was always difficult to read – her expression almost always as stony as the rest of her body.

The protagonist didn’t seem to mind. “Great. Then I can leave guard duty to you and enjoy the village!” He clapped his hands together, looking around. “Now let’s see what this charming place has for a hero like me- Aha!”

The front of the group had rounded a corner – and there, right up ahead, was a big banner that read ‘Hero’s Day Celebration – Free Service For Anyone In The Hero’s Party!’ It was draped over the front of what looked like an Inn – The Melon Cow – a pleasant place that might have been the only building in town that could hope to house the visiting heroine swarm.

“Come on girls,” the hero grinned. “Let’s go see what’s on the menu!”

Stepping in, he was greeted with the standard ‘big inn’ setup – a nice rustic wooden décor, a large open common room with round tables and chairs, booths around the outside wall, and a long, long bar, with plenty of barrels of booze behind it. And standing in front of said barrels, hands clasped, was a homely looking elf woman in a commoner’s dress and wearing a white apron, possessed of long dark hair falling around her shoulder in waves, her pointed ears poking out through the sides of her neat locks.

“Welcome, Hero,” she greeted him with a smile and a motherly voice. “Please, make yourself at home in my humble establishment. The honour is all mine.”

“Ha! You bet it is.” The protagonist nodded smugly. “About time I started getting the respect I was due around here. Okay girls, make yourselves at home!”

Blue Blazer – Tatiana Blueleaf – had to struggle not to twitch as the villain ushered his harem inside. The ego on this man was indescribable. How could anyone think he was a hero for even a second?

But more importantly… Did he know? He didn’t look like he recognised her. She’d had plans in place to retreat and try something else if he looked suspicious, but given that she’d gone from a giant blue woman to an average elf, it seemed likely he wouldn’t – and for the moment that was being born out. From everything she was seeing, it felt like she could be confident in pursuing the rest of her plan.

Although… There was something funny. Something unexpected. The moment that Show Stopper – the moment that the Hero had entered her Inn, she’d felt the strangest sensation in her chest. As if her heart had skipped a beat.

It was strange. When had he become so attractive?

… She shook her head, banishing that bizarre thought from her mind. No, she had other things to focus on right now.

Things like getting ready as the Hero walked up to the bar, flanked by her transformed sidekick – his golem bodyguard. The transformed heroine had to steady herself, making sure she didn’t give anything away as they approached. Just like Show Stopper, she saw no signs of recognition in the stone woman’s eyes, but unlike him, that blankness gave BB no reassurance…

“What can I get you, handsome?” She asked, fluttering her eyelids flirtatiously as she drank in the muscled frame of- Nn. What was that? Tch, no time to think on, Show Stopper was here.

“A round of your strongest ale for everyone! Helps to keep them all a little weak minded, you know.” He gave her a wink, as if he was sharing a joke, but also an edge to his smirk that said he didn’t expect her to understand it.

She giggled politely anyway – he was so funny! – before nodding and setting about doing just as he asked. It was exactly what she’d been hoping for, in fact. Soon, she was delivering fresh wooden tankards of drink to every table, nodding and smiling politely to all the girls that Stopped her ensnared in his web, hoping that she’d be able to free them all soon. Just as soon, in fact, as they all drank her drugged ale down!

Spiking the drink was something she found, to her surprise, she knew all about. Her identity in this world apparently had to deal with that sort of thing a lot. A little time in the forest hunting herbs – easy for an elf! – had allowed her to make sure that anyone who enjoyed a drink of tonight’s finest had a good long night’s sleep. That would give her plenty of time to steal the remote. Foolproof!

Tatiana – Blue Blazer – handed the Hero’s drink to him personally, after delivering everyone else’s (she hadn’t wanted to risk any of them interfering). “There you go, handsome~ What else can I do for a charming young man like yourself, hm?”

… She really had to work out why she was talking like that…

But Stopper just laughed, raising his tankard to his lips. “Well, if you’re offering, then maybe I- Hey!”

Both Hero and elf jumped as a stone hand grabbed the ale from his hand, yanking it away. “Bodyguard. Subroutine. Engaged.” Kimmi stated, examining the drink. “Running. Foodtaster. Exe.”

Without giving either of them a chance to interject, she immediately put the mug to her mouth and threw her head back, draining the entire thing in less than a second.

Tatiana stared with wide eyes. Oh no. Would the golem – her own sidekick – reveal her scheme? It was too early, she wasn’t ready! If she dived for the remote now, did she have a chance?

The golem spoke up before she could decide. “Analysing. Detecting. Barley. Water. Hops. Yeast. Herbs. Spices. Delicious.” She nodded to herself.

Then she toppled over backwards, crashing into the floor so hard she clacked the floorboards.

“Ah, damnit.” The Hero sighed. “Sorry about her. You’d think having a stomach made literally of stone would give her a solid constitution, but she’s a total lightweight.”

“Oh. Uh.” The Innkeeper blinked, and then gave him a nervous smile. “Don’t worry, we get a lot like her through here.” At least, that was what her memories told her. “I’ll take her upstairs and get her some water. She’ll be right as rain in no time.”

He nodded, his attention already wandering, not actually that bothered by what had happened to his golem harem slave. But for Tatiana, this was an opportunity to get her sidekick alone! If she could reach Mimic, then the two of them would be more than able to handle a thug like Show Stopper…

Of course, that was easier said than done, she realised as she tried to lift the stone slumberer. She could barely get her off the floor, it was going to take a lot of work to get her upstairs…

-

… Or it would be done instantly in another time skip. Wouldn’t that be convenient?

The Innkeeper sighed as she finally reached the bathroom, dragging the golem girl along behind her. Fortunately her arms were stronger than they looked, thanks to years of hauling drunks around after her husband had passed. Or, uh… Well, whatever.

Setting the other woman down, she grabbed a bucket and  splashed water on her face, only pausing for a moment afterwards to wonder if that would actually do anything to a person made of stone. But fortunately, her concerns were quickly put to rest as Kimmi’s eyelids began to flutter.

“Mimic!” She whispered, dropping to her knees next to the golem’s face. “Mimic, can you hear me?”

And to her absolute delight, it was a familiar voice she heard back.

“B… Boss…?” ‘Kimmi’ groaned, her eyes opening as she sat up. “Ugh, what happened? I feel like I got hit by a brewery…”

“I’ll explain fully later,” Tatianna said, offering her shoulder as she helped the golem stand. “But suffice to say-”

Alas, that was as far as she got, before the bathroom door opened, and the Hero- Show Stopper walked in. “Hey, Innkeeper, I wanted to ask about… Oh, you’re up.”

“YOU!” Suddenly the stone woman leaped into action, breaking out of Tatiana’s grasp and charging forwards, rocky fist raised. She recognising her enemy instantly! “I’m going to knock your block off, you otaku cre-!”

Flash!

Unfortunately, before the golemized heroine could make good on her word, the Hero simply raised his fist, ring shining on his finger, and red light blasted through the room.

Kimmi slumped in place instantly, her eyes filled with red, swirling spirals, her stone jaw hanging open. All of the fire that had driven her to motion, her rage and aggression, winked out the moment the ring flashed in front of her.

Tatianna might have found this horrifying, or at least taken advantage of the opportunity to study her enemy’s abilities – had she not been standing directly behind Kimmi when he used the ring, and thus, caught in its light herself. As such, she only had the chance to study his ability from a less than useful angle…

Namely, she was staring straight into the red light too.

It filled her vision before she was even aware of what was happening. Everything turned red, and then the world around her melted into simple black lines, swirling around her, swallowing everything. Automatically, she tried to make sense of it all, tried to take in what she was seeing, but she found her gaze following the swirl around and around, spinning ever deeper into an endless spiral…

A dizzy feeling filled her head, a kind of tingling static that spread through her thoughts, seeping between them like spokes of the spiral, and gently pulling them away from each other. Cool, soothing silence washed through her mind, everything else quieting down into nothingness. There was only the spiral.

Only the spiral.

Blue Blazer would have fought, jumped to protect her friend, raged to defend an innocent. Tatiana Blueleaf just stood there, slumped, blank, drooling on her chest right behind her sidekick, as her mind went blank.

The Hero barely noticed her. “Oh, been a while since this last happened. I thought you were done for good,” he muttered, paying far more attention to Mimic/Kimmi. “Maybe this time? Recite your mantra, Kimmi, and don’t stop until there’s no trace of your old self left in that rock you call a head, okay?”

The golem nodded blankly. “Yes. Master. I. Am. A. Harem. Slave. I. Exist. To. Serve. I. Exist. To. Please. I. Have. Always. Been. A. Golem. Slave. I. Do. Not. Know. What. A. Superhero. Is. I. Am. A. Harem. Slave. I. Exist. To. Serve. I. Exist. To. Please. I. Have. Always. Been. A. Golem. Slave. I. Do. Not. Know. What. A. Superhero. Is. I. Am. A. Harem. Slave. I. Exist. To. Serve. I. Exist. To. Please. I. Have. Always. Been. A. Golem. Slave. I. Do. Not. Know. What. A. Superhero. Is. I. Am. A. Harem. Slave. I. Exist. To. Serve. I. Exist. To. Please. I…”

“Yes, yes, great, off you go now.” The Hero rolled his eyes, shoving the golem on out of the bathroom and sending her down the hall with a slap to her behind. “Now what was I… Oh right, the Innkeeper! Hey, lady.”

He turned back to the other woman in the room. She didn’t respond, still staring blankly and drooling.

“Oh right. Okay, well, uh… You can forget all about Kimmi, Innkeeper. She’s not important.”

“Yes Master,” the elf droned, nodding slowly. “Forget all about Kimmi…”

“Good girl.” He nodded. “But yeah, I’m feeling pretty tired after the long journey, and I want to reward some of my favourite girls – how about you run us a big bath to enjoy?”

“Big Bath… To enjoy…” She nodded again, her eyes still swirling with red spirals. “I understand…”

“Perfect!” Show Stopper grinned, raising his hand. “Then go get to it.”

He snapped his fingers.

-

Nnn… What? Where… Where was she?

Tatiana looked around, rubbing at her head as her awareness slowly swam back into focus. It felt like she’d been sleeping – had she taken a nap? The last thing she remembered, she’d been in the bathroom, helping…

Helping…

Uh. Who had she been with? She couldn’t remember anyone, save that dreamy Hero. Hm, probably no one important.

No, it was much more important that she run a nice hot bath for her guests! The Melon Cow was famous for its hot springs, after all. Some… how? She wasn’t entirely sure that made sense, but her memories told her it was right.

But, of course, being the dedicated Inn Matron that she was, naturally the baths were already full and steaming, ready for a fine evening of relaxation for her guests. She stood in the corridor outside the two changing rooms (obviously, the baths were sex segregated), having just checked both were set. Yes, she could be proud of her work. Though…

Wait, wasn’t there something else she was supposed to be doing?

… Tatiana put her hand to her chin, her pointed ears wiggling as she thought. Something else… Something else…

The remote!

Her eyes widened as it all came back to her. Right, she had to save herself from Show Stopper’s trap! How embarrassing to have forgotten for even a moment. Perhaps something here was affecting her memories? She’d have to be careful…

But for now, she had the perfect opportunity. There was no way that the villain would take his remote into the baths with him. She just needed to wait for him to get changed, and then she could simply take it from the changing room. Once again, a foolproof plan.

So the Innkeeper waited. Soon enough, the Hero and his harem arrived. Well, not the full harem – a lot of them had apparently gone to bed early for some reason or other. But She couldn’t help but feel a small sting of jealousy, seeing all of those women gazing so adoringly at this fine gentleman. Ah, if only she were a few years younger, perhaps she could try her… luck…?

Tatiana shook the odd thought off as he approached, smiling at the crowd. “Welcome, everyone. The baths have been prepared. It’s the left door for men, and the right door for ladies.”

There was a chorus of disappointed moans as the girls all realised that they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the naked company of their Master. The elf fought to keep a strangely smug smile off her lips at the sound.

The hero wasn’t bothered though.

“Oh well, girls. Don’t worry – there’ll be plenty of time to enjoy each other’s bodies later. For now, I just want a nice, relaxing bath. Oh, and I never did get that drink, did I. You’ll get me another one, right Innkeeper?”

“Of course dear~” She answered with a bright smile without even thinking about it. “I’d be delighted.”

“That’s what I like to hear.” He grinned, patting her on her plump behind as he walked through the door to his side of the baths.

The looks of jealousy she got from the harem horde as they streamed through the other side were delicious~

Oh, but she couldn’t hang around to enjoy them. She had to fetch the Hero his drink! Still smiling, the Innkeeper turned on her heel and strutted away…

-

… Only to find herself strutting back a moment later, carrying a mug of ale balanced on a tray. She didn’t even notice the jump this time, simply carrying on as normal – her memories telling her that she’d been all the way down to the kitchen and prepared the Hero something from the special supply.

(She hadn’t even thought to drug it this time. She couldn’t possibly do such a thing to such a handsome and brave Hero after all!)

So now, Tatiana confidently walked into the male side of the changing rooms, striding straight past the pile of his clothes on her way towards the baths. She could take a look through them in a moment, after all. There was no rush. If she didn’t deliver his drink quickly, he’d get suspicious, for sure.

But still, she found herself pausing at the door to the bath room itself. Her heart was racing. Her lips dry. She found herself licking them unconsciously, before looking down at herself. Her clothes were very common. A little too common to ever attract attention from a great Hero like this. And- And she didn’t want to risk getting them wet…

-

… So when she minced her way into the male side of the baths, she made sure she was only wearing a single white towel, wrapped tightly around her generous curves. It just barely covered the tops of her thighs as she made her way through the thick steamy mist.

“Mr Hero?” She purred. “I have your drink”

“That’s great,” his strong, manly, commanding voice called from deeper in the fog. He sounded so relaxed. “Just bring it over here.”

“Of course sir~” The elf nodded, and-

Well. Tatiana didn’t mean to trip, she told herself. She simply misplaced her foot in all of the mist, yes. The stone baths could be so slippery when wet, you know. No, she certainly didn’t mean to tumble into the baths with such a rugged, handsome Hero. And she certainly hadn’t planned to rise out of the water without her towel!

Not at all.

She just found herself standing before him completely naked by total accident.

Yes.

A million instincts tried to grasp her at once – but the one that took control was firm. She didn’t move to cover herself, or shriek or stammer. Instead, she simply cocked one leg, brushing her hair back with all the confidence a mature elf could muster (which was a very great amount indeed).

“Oops. Sorry sir, I seem to have spilled your drink.” She pressed a finger to her lips, feeling the naughty smirk trying to form on them. “However may I make it up to you?”

“Well now…” The naked hero was certainly appreciating the view, laying back at the edge of the water. “Why don’t you come over here, and I’m sure we can think of something.”

“Whatever you command, sir.” The elf nodded, strutting through the water with innate grace. She had to make sure her customer was 100% satisfied, after all. That was just what a good Innkeeper did…

Hm?

Ah. Tatiana blinked, her eyes focusing. There was something there, next to the hero’s head, on the side of the baths. A small black box with buttons. It was familiar. It was important. She needed to… She needed to-!

That was when the wall broke down, and the horde of horny heroines who had been leaning up against it trying to hear what was going on next door tumbled through.

“Master, bathe with me!”

“No, me first!”

“I’m your favourite!”

“I. Am. Yours. To. Command.”

“No meeee!”

“Ah geeze.” The Hero rolled his eyes and stood up, silencing every woman as they got a captivating view of his rugged body. “Enough already!”

Flash!

And then, of course, silencing them a second time with his ring. Red light washed over the room, and every woman within it went still. Thoughts were sucked away, demands and petty rivalries dialled down into nothingness. Spirals spun in every pair of eyes – and in Tatiana’s most of all, leaving the naked elf slumped over and drooling in the middle of the pool.

“Man, maybe a huge harem was a mistake,” Show Stopper sighed. “They’re so difficult to manage. But then again…”

He looked around at the sea of wet, naked women, all mindless and desperate to serve him.

“You know, it has its perks, too! Well girls, how about you put on a show for me?”

The chorus was instant. “Yes Master.”

“Wonderful. Now, how about…”

He began handing out orders, commanding pairs or trios of girls to entice one another, all seeking the prize of getting to do the same to him if they did well enough. A contest of seduction and appeal.

It was a contest that an oblivious Tatiana found herself deeply entwined with – almost as deeply as she was entwined with another pair of elves, in fact, a light skinned forest elf blonde, and a dark-skinned underground elf violette. The three of them were entirely mindless, and yet entirely determined to prove to their Master the many uses of an elf’s famed flexibility…

-

Then the next thing she knew, it was night time, and the elven matron was patrolling the halls of her Inn with a dimmed lamp to make sure all was well. There wasn’t even a sense of disorientation this time as reality skipped a couple of hours, filling in the space with rough sketches in her memory.

She had enjoyed a very nice time in the baths, and didn’t need to think about it any further than that! Easy. And she also somehow knew that Delandra and Sorsessia both had very sweet tasting lips, but, as mentioned, she didn’t need to think about that any further.

No, she needed to… She needed to…

She needed to do something. It would come back to her, she was sure.

For now, she was just patrolling the halls and making sure all of the Hero’s girls behaved. They could be so naughty. Not that she could blame them, of course. Who could resist such a manly young man? She certainly hadn’t been able to get him out of her head all day…

“Mellody! Sandra!” The elf snapped as she saw the pair – a siren and a wolf girl, respectively – poking their heads out of their bedroom doors, both looking around to see if they could sneak out. “Back to bed. You have a long journey in the morning.”

“Awwww…” It was a whine she was used to hearing at this point. It seemed like most of the girls had tried to sneak over to the Hero’s bed tonight. Someone really needed to manage them all for him. Although… Hm.

Tatiana frowned, looking down at herself. Shouldn’t she have been wearing clothes? All she had on was her frilly white apron. Was that odd? Oh well.

With a shrug, she moved to the end of her patrol route, right next to the Hero’s bedroom door at the end of the hall. Ah, perhaps she should check on him, too. Just to make sure he was sleeping well…

Silently, she slipped through the door, using all of her elven reflexes to lock it behind her and creep across the bedroom. There he was, sleeping soundly in the finest bed in the house. His equipment was strewn messily across the floor, and there, on his bedside cabinet, was his golden ring, and that little black box he always carried…

Oh.

Oh, of course. She understood now. She’d been so silly. She knew what she needed to do.

She needed to submit to him. Right now.

“Sir? Sir.” Her hand shook his shoulder, rousing him from his slumber. “So sorry to wake you this late…”

“That’s fine,” he mumbled, slowly coming around. “I knew one of you would sneak in here eventually. Well, I guess I can- Oh.” Then he blinked, his eyes finally opening. “Oh, Innkeeper. Sorry, I thought you were one of my… Well, never mind. What’s up?”

“Ah. Well. It’s just.” Oh, it wasn’t like Tatiana to be so tongue tied. She hadn’t stumbled like this since she first met her dead husband, all those centuries ago! But who could blame her? “I am aware, sir, that there have been some problems during your stay here. And I was wondering…” She licked her lips, the tips of her ears wiggling, as she leaned over him and gave him an eyeful down the window of her apron. “Is there any way I might make it up to you, somehow…?”

He stared at her for a moment, before chuckling. “Ah, I see. Wow, you’re just throwing yourself at me. This anime wasn’t kidding about paper thin personalities.”

Was he displeased. Oh no. The elf’s hands wrung together. “Please, sir. I’m sure I can be of use. I’ll look after the younger girls for you, make sure to keep them in line…”

But he waved her panic off. “Sure, sure, babe. Of course you can be in the harem. I mean, look at this size of those tits!” She was very proud of her tits, it was true~ “I’m just… I mean, man…” He picked up the ring on his bedside table, looking it over. “Do I even need to bother using this on you? You’re pretty submissive…”

She wasn’t really listening, already sliding under his bedsheets as she tossed her apron aside. “If it would please you, sir, then by all means, you may do whatever you like with me~”

“Hah. Well I clearly don’t need to,” he laughed. Then he slid the ring onto his finger. “But maybe that just makes it more fun~”

She laughed with him – then spirals filled her vision, and she mindlessly sank down under the covers...

-

“Any sign?”

“No. Master.” The golem shook her head.

“Well, keep an eye out.” The Hero frowned. “I know she’s out there, plotting something. We need to be ready when Blue Blazer strikes. I won’t rest easy until I know she’s just as obedient as you are, Kimmi.”

“Yes. Master.”

The pair marched onwards, towards their next destination, followed, obediently, by a horde of beautiful, busty maidens…

And somewhere within that crowd of bouncing curves, Tatiana Blueleaf strutted proudly after them.

She’d never heard of any ‘Blue Blazer’, of course, save for in her Master’s paranoid mumblings, and she forgot those pretty quickly. No, she was just an elven matron, a mature woman a little past her prime, but still willing to keep up with the younger girls whenever it came to pleasing her Master – Another happy, forgettable member of the Hero’s harem.

And certainly nothing more.
