yeah the writing is really good they built everything up in a way that its almost better on second watch through.

2024-01-28 21:28:09 +0000 UTCAND... I stand by my "skip season 4+ of AD" stance but if you're going to watch it the initial order is obviously best. There's still setups and payoffs and they don't work if you watch it in the re-shuffled order. You commented on how they weave the story together, and yeah, you can still see the talent here. I don't think it's nearly as funny but it continues to be very well-written. Everybody's path crosses with everybody else's multiple times, oftentimes you have characters pass in and out of somebody else's so quick you can miss it - you caught Maebe running through GOB's story late in ep 7 but I'm pretty confident you've missed some of those. (I'm sure you've missed some, but some of them are hidden on first viewing because a character is disguised, for reasons revealed during that person's episode, like how Tobias was behind Lindsay when she went to India.)

GOB's interactions with Egg in this episode being one. Jesus... "So, how did you like your egg?" "I said you were fine."
