Well, I don't think I ever got as far as season 4. :D In the late 90s, I got quite into The Simpsons. At that time, the quality of that show was pretty high (or so I thought). Then South Park came out. I found it pretty funny. but crude in comparison (both in the animation and the comedy). There was much more 'miss' than 'hit' for me at the time. Then the movie came out, which is probably fairly mainstream in comparison with the show. I don't know, I guess I mainly enjoyed the songs. Blame Canada! Shut your f***ing face, uncle f***er, etc. :D But I really never gave South Park much of a go after the movie (I also lost interest in The Simpsons). I remember enjoying things like the Chocolate Salty Balls song, and Mr. Hankey. :D But my sense of humor has changed a lot since I watched any of the show, and it's very possible that I might enjoy it more now if I gave it a chance.

Weird. I absolutely love the show and did before the movie even came out, but always found the movie super disappointing, especially compared to anything from the show season 4 onward.

also, season 1-2 have some really great iconic episodes. but the animation is so old and outdated that for some people its hard to watch.

I actually think the show is a lot better than the movie. But it is a bit rough around the edges in the first 2 seasons. And its a hit an miss show with some episodes that aren't that great. So i get why a lot of people just never really gave it a chance, or never got into it.
Personally i would say, watch some of the fan favorite episodes and if you still don't like it, its probably just not your coup of tea.

I never really got into the show that much, but I love the movie. As well as being hilarious, it's a surprisingly good musical in its own right!

"Chef, how do you get a woman to like you?"
"Ohh that's easy children. You just have to find the clitoris."
truer words were never spoken. And your reaction there was priceless. The whole thing was perfect. I plan to watch this many times.

Yeees! Let’s go! Been waiting for this! I figured it was probably a bitch to edit for YouTube. Due to an MPAA rule, If they wen’t over 400 swear words it would be NC-17, there are 399 lol. They went on to write a broadway musical as well “the Book of Mormon”, it won NINE Tonys.
You should definitely add the show to a poll (though also might wanna see if people would want out of order or chronological.
Pros of chronological is you get context of what’s going on better (but it’s really not CRUCIAL).
pro of out of order is you’ll get the “best ofs”/the good stuff right away.
