Game time

Hi guys!

So. I want to warn you that we made some changes in the playing time.
Now time is most accurately synchronized with the game world.

Now 1 real day = 1 game year.

Below I will give the main changes. The time is indicated in the real-time clock.

Pregnancy.
Pregnancy lasts 18 hours

Maturation.
The child grows from 0 to 18 years according to the accelerated program due to nutritional supplements and growth stimulants. This takes 24 hours.

Life colonist.
From the age of 18 a colonist can get a profession. The colonist continues to grow up to 30 years, after which he receives a vaccine that protects him from aging. The increase from 18 to 30 years will cease to accelerate and equalize according to the total time. 1 year (virtual) = 1 day (real).

We also reduced the rest time of the colonists in the breeding department. Now it takes them 2 hours to recover their strength.

These changes took effect right now.

The wardrobe for the colonist will be bundled with the next update in early September.

Resources need to be unloaded in the mine stock. Mining takes place every 4 hours.

First off I apologize if this has been answered already, I could not find it if it was. I was wondering about game resources are the "+500" mining a game day or real day. I just sat through 3 game days and received no resources. Thanks!

if you notice, you log on to the game and require an internet connection. Technically the game runs on a server, so your client just lets you access said server. The game doesn't need to be on for it to update, it will update while you are offline, no need to keep it running.

wait do we have to leave the game on for throughout the night or can we just change our computers time to advance it

Not sure if there was a change to resource extraction or if this is a bug. My mine produces 185 per 4 hours, but sometimes will randomly fill all 3600 resource in a 4 hour period. Seems about every 3rd or 4th gathering it gives a full mine randomly.

We did not touch the extraction of resources in order not to disturb the system of the economy. Resources are mined every 4 hours (real time).

PANDORIUM

The game time is going as stated in this post, however resource gain seems to take real life days. I signed up yesterday (still waiting for patreon code so maybe this is why it's taking real life days?) and my resource amount has still not updated. Child gestation however has progressed 4 months, so I am not sure what's going on.

We just downloaded the update :) The child inherits some data from the parents. The higher the level of the parent, the higher the child's level.

A few more thoughts since the patch... 1. Breeding functionality is still useless. It actually costs more resources to feed the offspring to adulthood, than they sell for on the market... Which brings me to my next point. 2. Offspring have no purpose as yet in game, other than to sell. While i understand that this is to be addressed at some point in the future via cross-breeding with aliens, I'm still concerned that we could have arrived at a point where children receive no traits from their parents other than looks. I read about 'brilliant' children being a possibility, i have not seen such as yet. To my mind, children should be the products of their parent's training, and receive the values of their cumulative stat score distributed randomly across their stat tree... The random nature of the distribution would make most of the offspring relatively worthless, having an average of around 3-5 per stat, increasing sale value. Occasionally however, you would see a child that had most of the value dropped into 1 or 2 skills, making the child suited to a specific task, and therefore... (wait for it)... Useful to the player. Currently, I'm breeding for no other reason than to see if i can get one of the 'brilliant children', but can see no reason to continue to do so unless the breeding system is significantly changed. As it stands, the ability to purchase a colonist who already has a trait trained to 5, (at 360 units per training), trumps training any born colonist up from 2 or 3 to 5 hands down. All this in perspective. But we can not jump above our heads. Everything takes time. Updates we release several times a month. Sometimes technical, sometimes visual.

Can i recommend that the game be accelerated even further? Waiting days and days before making any real progress is actually quite boring. Game looks great but there's litterally no content for weeks at a time. Maybe look into creating some sort of excavation method we can pursue to bring minerals back to our civilizations? Maybe this will introduce us to the inhabitants of the planet? Idk. Its been 10 days and ive done maybe 2-3 things lol.

I've been trying "Forgot password?" twice. Entered my email, yet no mail came. Tried registering with my email, and it said the email wasn't available.

The warehouse was created to protect resources. In order not to lose data in the event of a communication failure. Also for a more interesting passage of the game. I think you should not complicate this process. I would suggest even increasing the base volume of the warehouse.

If keeping the way of gathering resources as is, i would suggest in an additional building for storage of it, so it's not capped to the mine level itself. A storage silo would be preferable to upgrade, and hold your resources in. (not to be confused with the main storage of the city, but a side storage you could expand for the mine, so the amount of max resources gathered can be increased beyond the mines own storage.)

Hey. At this point, the parent's skills are not passed on to the child. But we take into account the wishes of the players and we will make some changes.

2 things: First market offers shit for colonists I have had one truly good colonist from the market since the market was added and have never seen a colonist with any skills higher than level 5, but at least I can sell the bad colonists which is most of them because the breeding system makes no sense. Which brings me to my second point how are you calculating the skills of the children because I have thought of three logical ways none of which is how the breeding system works considering a (3,3,3,3,3,3) and a (2,4,3,5,2,3) should not be yielding any of the following (1,2,1,3,1,2), (1,3,1,2,1,1), (1,3,1,3,1,2), (1,2,1,2,2,2) or (1,2,1,1,1,2) and my favorite is when a (3,3,3,3,3,3) and a (3,4,3,4,3,3) gave me a (1,3,1,3,1,1) because the only ways a stat should be generated are through the two following methods either copying one of the parent's stat for a skill or truncating the average of the parents' stats for the skill which is why I think you guys should use a number generator to generate a number between one and three for each skill where one is the mother's stat for that skill 2 is the father's and 3 is the truncated average of the parents stats for that skill meaning if one had a 3 and the other had a 4 the stat would be 3 but if one had a 5 and the other had a 3 the stat would be 4, then when all six skills are generated have a 1/10 chance for each skill that it will be changed by one point at which point its a 50/50 between increasing it by one or decreasing by one. This would mean for among 5 colonists three stat mutations theoretically would have occurred whether it ends up with one having two of them is up to chance, this would represent random mutations.

Awaiting new code :o been about 3 days or so.

+To increasing impregnation rate. A 5|5 Female with a 7|5 just failed 5 consecutive attempts - And this has happened multiple times since yesterday. Is there any reason for the male to pull out while doing doggy? It's aggravating enough to have to deal with the low rate of impregnation without the male actively sabotaging us.

Couple of additional suggestions... 1. In the market, selling resources... Put a slider. Having to click the + button 2000 times to sell 200k resources is annoying. 2. Have the workers get skill at their job over time, as well as training. It's anti-intuitive to think that someone could do a job for a year and not get better at it. 3. Increase pregnancy rate. Even with highly trained breeders, 2 men are hard pressed to impregnate 3 women before running out of energy. It is logically implausible for people specifically selected and trained o the task. God knows, it's hard enough to keep women from falling pregnant even with birth control... Just ask my wife, who got pregnant on the pill... Even with your much loved 'pulling out' axiom.

if every day is one year...how in the heck is a colonist that spends less than 6 seconds having sex getting tired so fast...with a 25% chance of just taking his wankie out and spraying the womans ass rather than actually making a baby, and a full 50% chance to fail to impregnate...and the children when they do come out being mostly retards in all skills and abilities this game is really starting to make me not want to patronize what could have been great. why am i spending 8 attempts to impregnate a woman only to fail and have to wait til the male is not tired

AFAIK the rate of production upgrades, maybe an upgradeable warehouse could be added to the game eventually?

It is not a bug. There is a new option if u are in the mine object. I t says: unload. Click on it and you'll get your resources. I think it became manual from 1.6.0.4. I hope I could help.

After real time day, i receive 5x food production and zero minerals production. I hope its bug.

While I do think pulling out during breeding is a bit WTF, I'd just like to point out just how much detail is invested in the breeding artwork. What most games won't put into "Good ending" scenes, Pandorium is giving us in routine situations. Sure, the game play is a little short, and the system is still in the tweaking phase, but what we're getting is far and away above the run of the mill. Alpha version, folks. Alpha version. early days, and progress is what we should look for.

The people reaching maturity faster is a good thing, but i honestly cannot understand what you are doing with the breeding aspect. Currently, there is absolutely no reason to breed people, at all. Even with parents at skill levels 7 and higher, they are born with all stats lvl 1-3, and you can purchase colonists with much higher skill levels, which saves both time and money. Frankly, you are wasting both your time and money to engage in breeding at all, at this point. To make matters worse, the breeding process is made deliberately tedious and painful, compared to just being able to walk into a store and buy pre-trained adults ready to work. This needs to be corrected first thing, before the game moves on in any direction.

I appreciate that you are giving thoughts to your player's problems. But that only means you are shifting the problem from some players with poor internet connection to other players with limited time (such as me). The first group is now happy because of the warehouse, I am losing stuff because of it. Today is my first day of a two weeks vacation, I cannot check every day. My 15 new-born people just got grown up in time so that I could sell them in order to not let them starve to death. Now I wil need to breed new people, which will prove difficult because all my breeders are untrained and will become exhausted (and they will still finish outside 3 out of 5 times -- wtf?).

The warehouse is a depository of minerals. You can unload the warehouse at any time. Its volumes depend on the level of the mine. The warehouse on the 1st level is completed in 3 days. But if you have better miners, it will happen faster. We had to create a warehouse because of frequent complaints from players. They lost their resources due to a connection failure or server load.

When do minerals/food stock? I mean, it says for example 285/day. But after one game time day I see no change. Last night I got out of a sudden 5000 minerals and my warehouse was full. I don't understand that system...
