There is RNG with determining the stats of a child. Parents with higher stats just makes the child's bell curve of their stats shift higher. Meaning statistically the stats will shift higher, however there is still the chance the stats will fall below like a crit fail. Just means statistically the typical range should fall within the 3 to 8. In my game I have breeders with pretty much 10 or higher for both stamina and fertility but I still recently had a female born with 1s for all stats. That has however been only once with six females breading just about everyday for about a month with those stats. Which would put it in the realm of about 1 in 100 chance of that happening. Though likely even less likely than that if you consider including breading below 10 and this still likely being the first time it happened.

10 wow I haven't even been able to get 1 person up passed level 6 because I need so much resources for the last 2 hostels that it's going to take forever!! This sounds great. I'm looking forward to the new aliens. I might suggest, however that the next phase of work be aimed at doing more things in the colony. The other functions like the night club and spaceport, the ideas of exploration and research, and using all the other abilities (sexiness? intelligence?) seem super interesting. Right now, however the game just feels like a lot of grinding. I don't even really breed my colonists much because I'd rather save the food to sell to upgrade my farm and mine ... also selling people is a bummer to think about. I'd rather do things with them. The art is great, let's get on with the game.
