UPDATE 2.0

Hi guys!

I am pleased to announce that we have updated the system to version 2.0

It is impossible to describe the whole amount of work :) A lot of work has been done.
But we downloaded only a small part of the new system, because there are a lot of interconnected elements.

Version 2.0 can be considered the base system to which we will connect additional modules. In addition, now it will be faster and easier for us to connect all the necessary elements.

We optimized the city and the colonists. And in future versions you will find many pleasant surprises. At the moment, we have blocked some functions because they are related to future updates. But it does not take much time.

And so, the main changes in addition to the visual part:

We will complement the existing system. This will occur regardless of the process.

In this version, a new structure for managing the colony, colonists, systems of factions, settings, and interaction with the townspeople will appear.
Festivals and parties will appear. And besides, the colony will take on a real living look.

The module is very interesting and it is it that takes our time now.

Now I will write more often about the work done, because we can upload all the finished progress to the server. We could not do this before, because the new system differs from the old one not only externally but also internally.

Most importantly, the new system now allows you to work with the city, farm and mine. The old system would not withstand the load and was difficult to manage. Therefore, the colony was not inhabited.

ATTENTION!
Due to the fact that the system has changed drastically to avoid errors, I recommend that you delete the game folder and download a new launcher Version 16.
And of course, run the launcher as an administrator so that the update is successful. :)

We welcome feedback. It is also important for us that the system does not load your computer. This system is more complex than the old, but at the same time lighter.

How to install: go to C: drive, Program Files (x86), PandoriumLauncher, delete folder. download Version XX, run, (the game is small, only takes a minute) the screen will be black with 4 moving dots, exit program "X" (the "X" icon upper right of screen), go to C: drive, Program Files (x86), PandoriumLauncher folder, right click PandoriumLauncher.exe, send shortcut to desktop, right click on shortcut, choose "Run as administrator", enter game, update game. The idea is good. But I recommend to wait for future updates. We are preparing big changes in the distribution area. We want to make full control over the colonists.

I recently thought of a new addition and that is pairing colonists together like they are married or partners if you want to run your colony like this. They can still have sex with other characters but they have an added branch in Family tab and it tells you who they are partners with? I find this easier to locate those colonists who you want to constantly have offspring with then try and hunt down their children cause it gets insane after so many colonists.

We will check the error message. As for the tutorial on creating objects, I do not really understand what you are talking about. If we are talking about building buildings, then I think the system does not require a separate tutorial. At least there have been no reports of difficulties with this. If we are talking about creating things, then at the moment you can’t create things and therefore there is no tutorial.

This game is pissing me off. It keeps telling me to build a farmer hostel, which I already have. There's also no tutorial to tell me how to do things. How is this even 2.0??? Restarting the game didn't fix that dumb bug. I'm getting very irritated, very fast.

If you're talking about Rourke’s store, then yes. There, the colonists have skill limitations. A higher skill can only be raised.

I have a question about the store. Do the stats increase as you level and gain or does it always stay the same? I keep track of my people on a spreadsheet and add their stats for a power level (Health+(Endurance*2)+(Strength*2)+(Fecundity*2)+Intellect+Sexiness) and the people I bred are about 55-65 when the formula adds them together but the store are almost always 20-30.

I think that they should be kept only if they are unique to you. First, we will finish the work we have begun. Ahead are still new professions, festivals and a new colonist management system. Hi! Nice work on the update. I really like how people just populate the city now. When can we expect an update for the military? I'm not being impatient or anything, I just have a few colonists stashed away in Allocation and eating my food. I am keeping them because I want to train them for health, and I just want to know if I should still keep them.

I dont know why, but for some reason I can no longer get into the game. When I start it up and get past the first few warnings and such, the game asks me if I would consider donating and telling me where to go if I have questions and such. I press continue, and the game starts to load indefinitely. I have tried to close the game and start it several times, I have reboot my computer, I have deleted and reinstalled the game several times, and even allowed it to just keep loading, to make sure it was not just me getting impatient. But after having the game running (in the background while doing something else) for up to 8 hours, it was still loading. It never comes to the login screen or anything. I have tried to close all antivirus and all firewalls to see if that was the problem, and nothing works for me. There is one last thing that I have not yet tried, so I am going to re-download the installer, and try one more time, but my hopes are pretty much gone now. Please help? :) Edit: I could easily have deleted this post, but I figured out to make it work. I am not sure exactly what made this work, but here is what I did. I downloaded the game once more and reinstalled it on a diffrent harddisk just to make sure, and now I can play the game again. I could have deleted the post, but in case others have the same problem as I did, you can try this, and hopefully it works for you as well...

Thanks for the feedback. All files must be downloaded so that there is no need to download additional files later. The game later exchanges data with the server and does not require constant downloads. The launch on behalf of the administrator is dictated by the laws of Windows. Downloading all files takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The rest depends on the technical features of the computer and the network.

Tried installing the game several times - failing every time with an "invalid file" error #2032 message. Followed the instructions given by someone else of deleting game folder, running installer, quitting, running game installer again at administrator, etc. Got up to about 150 of 552 files. A few comments\questions: 1) Why do you have to download everything all at once? 2) Even with high-speed broadband why do files of only a few MB take so long? 3) No resume? Given the lengthy installation time, having to start from scratch every time it craps itself makes the process extremely tedious and, above all, infuriating. A *huge* turn off, in my view.

Yes, thanks for the feedback. We plan to revise the system. For this, work on the city was started. We often have discussions about how to make the game more interesting. But difficulties must exist. In any case, we will still make changes.

I've been giving my patronage to this game off and on just about since it appeared on patreon, but I am starting to think I am just a glutton for punishment. It's great that you are re vamping the colony to look more lived in etc, but I gotta say, I have never in my life played a game more stacked against the player than this one. I mean, starting with the obvious, the training system. In most games (as in life usually as well) if you buy in bulk you get a discount. However, in this game, if you buy XP in bulk, you get a penalty. The breeding system seems completely random for passing on high stat traits, something I've been experimenting with for the last few months. Most of my breeders have at least a 15 or higher rating in both strength and endurance and I have yet to have offspring with traits passed on any higher than 14, and if they do, its usually one or the other, not both. So, unless I am doing something wrong, it seems that that system is stacked against the player as well. So you either need to spend an enormous amount of time training slowly, or a monstrous amount of cash to train faster, and after level 9 or so, even the great training wont fill the bar. The breeding mini game is a joke too, yet one more thing to make someone tear their hair out. 1-5 xp for completing on average, with a little cookie of 15 exp tossed in once and a while. I only use the mini game if I have a breeder close to leveling. It takes on average 1.5 minutes to both breed and play the mini game, so if you have 200 colonists breeding, allowing for a 10% failure rate it would take nearly three hours to breed all of them using the mini game. That's a huge chunk of time for very little reward xp wise. I used to be a jet set patron, but I downgraded, because owning the house and having the slave means you're literally spending an extra five bucks a month to interact with two game npc's and a couple animations. Now lets talk about the Rourke mini game. The people who have the high scores on that must have some kind of mod or something that super clicks for them. Still, I was impressed, making it to a high level score and seeing I made that fat grey bugger something like 12k in profits. So he hands me like a little over a hundred credits for my efforts. Considering how expensive training and everything else is in the game, that's enough to buy me a cup of coffee maybe. Yet one more thing stacked against the player and a total waste of time. You guys have a great idea, but as it sits from my perspective, you are making your players climb a cliff, in a blizzard, butt naked, and covered in vaseline in order to accomplish anything worthwhile.

ummm...no. the merchant ship is "assumed" not a reality. The character "Monk" handles you off-hand quests and sales of colonists. Trading between colonies is supposed to be arranged in a future addition.

- When playing with a wide screen, the game does not load the edge graphics (left and right) in time, so there's a moment of empty space before the graphics pop into place. - The layering of the graphics elements is off in various places. For example in the farm area, there are rocks that the player character walks "behind", but when going to the front side of the rock, the player's head vanishes "under" the rock. I've also seen some of those flying drones slide "under" people just sitting on park benches. Overall, nice work with the new city, seems a much more lively pace now. :) Though there are some issues with it: - The game seems to do odd auto-zooming when you change the width of the game window. With a wide screen, it zooms in so far that you can't see the texts of the buttons, or the lower half of any area. Oh, and even with the narrow window, the buttons are in the middle of the screen. Some of this will help: - Disable firewall and antivirus. - Disable incognito mode (if using) - Configure TSL2.0 (there are instructions in the description) - Download the latest version of Launcher (latest version 16). - Reinstall the game Pre-delete the old folder). Most often, the problem is related to the old version of the launcher or incorrect updating of the game.

Monk has a very small hitbox and it can take a few times of walking up to him and moving around before his button pops up.

Greetings! I play on two different laptops. One on Win10 - no problem. On the second (Win7) - there is an incomprehensible bug. When I exit the market and go down to Monk, he is not there. Just empty. When I leave any other zone and walk to Monk on foot, then he is. I reinstalled the game, cleaned it, and copied it from a laptop with Win10. Nothing helps. No Monk.

yeah so about this up date upgraded the colony to look lived in but made it a pain to navigate mine fast travels me into what i click and back to load start load point when i exit so im no outside of anything, i always go back to the middle of the map most times i load a new area when i go back to town the town only loads the bottom buttons and a black screen the hall of fame does not move like it should. in the breeding hostel training options are hidden you can still click them if you know where they were the just dont show up and if you click the wrong one hitting no on the "are you sure" menu doesnt matter it selects yes any how. farm upgraded but not the mine i see alot a places that look like they will eventually have something but till then its just wasted space and above all else the colonist management system doesnt need to be redone, it just need a select multiple, select all, and select only(by hair color, sex, race,or skill level). being able to move large groups of whom ever we are want by whatever skill we are trying to breed for would fix it

Also I wanted to mention a suggestion regarding Mystic and Candy Worthy's comments. You could have upgrades linked with the building's level. And non patrons would have access to let's say the first 10 levels while patrons could go higher. (This is an example of course)

I really like the new art ^^ However there is one thing bothering me. For instance when entering the breeder hostel, this happens immediately. But we do get a loading screen when exiting the hostel. In my opinion this slows the game down a little. You could just put the player back at the hostel entrance and load only the visible part of the map?

We have not yet been breeding...

The production does work in cycles. If you need just few units, click the statues in City Hall > Hall of Fame - they will five you few units of random resource.

Monk is right below the market, it's the same amount of time. The map is spread out so you can see the sights, use the bottom panel to go instantly to where you want.

so the map changed and made reaching monk even more time consuming. Not much else is different but the game is slower and the map more spread out so walking around is worse.

As a reminder, chat loans. No one needs a loan of 10 credits. If someone asks you for a loan of 10 creds; it's because they want to talk to you. Do not accept unless you don't want to chat. Accepting starts a timer that will delete all messages after 72 hours.

Nice look! I did the renaming right away. That worked fine. I went to unload the mine (no problem) and assign workers to the mine as instructed, but the display of workers froze. I'm at 8 male workers. No controls work except Menu. I quit and will try again later.

A bit of a resource hog compared to the older version, but it works, even on my old machine. Any chances of playing rourke's game are long gone until I finish building my new computer though, the resource drain's just too much for it to work.

When I logged on, I might of been one of the first, the colony ranking was all "unknowns" the bank list was all "unknowns"... it was pretty spooky... and now, interestingly, we can see who is actually still in the game.
