A FEW WORDS ON THE PASSING YEAR

Hey, everybody!

You've probably seen on the Hunter's site the mentioned progress of work, but a few words about the development of the project. 

At the moment I still have to finish the visual part (icons, text and so on). The main part of the graphics is done, but there are still a lot of small details to finish. I also have to draw a map of the island for more comfortable orientation on it and mark there the key characters and locations. Without this, the game is very uncomfortable. I checked :)

In addition, I want to set up localization for several languages at the start of the project, so as not to waste time on it in the future. But to do that, I have to check the customization of all text blocks (sometimes I used picture instead of text and I need to fix that and check correct font display in different languages).

I had planned to make a pilot release by the end of the year, but after checking the work of the project, I decided to take my time and not release the raw product. I think you will be more comfortable to get a project without bugs and glitches a little later than an unfinished project. Let this is only a starting prototype and you should not expect great results from it, but at least I want to demonstrate the basic mechanics of the project and create a solid foundation for future improvements.

I also plan to add quest and relationship mihanics to the starter build with the ability to save the result. It won't take much time, but it will revitalize the existing project.
Having an android is very well suited for this task. Which I believe will not be superfluous.

I'm still very concerned about the product upgrade process. As I would like to do it painlessly, without losing my existing saves at the time of release of updates. This is something I have yet to test.
In addition, I am blocking some areas of the terrain where new objects will be located in the future. This is done so that you do not accidentally build an object in an inappropriate place.
It won't be fun to log into the game after the update and find yourself in the middle of a village. Lucky if it's a friendly village :))))

Anyway, as you can see, there are some minor technical formalities and a bit of visual content left. The only thing I won't do now is the introductory part of the project, because it will take a lot of time, which is better spent on checking and fixing bugs and balance. I'll add that in the future.

The year 2023 is coming to an end, and I'm very happy about that. It has not been a very pleasant year for me. I hope things have been better for you. I look forward to 2024 and hope we all have a nicer and better year.
