Marshall Stockwell II vs Anker Soundcore Motion+

Marshall Stockwell II vs Anker Soundcore Motion+

Comments

got a stockwell 2 in a sale last year as a present for my mother. thought I'd get myself a motion boom as its maybe better on paper.. or maybe it was all the hype that persuaded me.. had to send it back anyway because of trouble with sibilance and audio/visual delay. the marshal is a dream. love it. will have to get another for myself. Also I just joined the patreon as I've been watching your vids for while and wanted to express my gratitude for what you're doing. love it.

Oluv, your wave EQ setting for anker motion+ is great! Thanks! Still, I noticed that when I switch to this custom setting the anker turns off the extra base setting. I noticed that when you turn that on, the base-y predefined setting kicks in, and once you change to the custom EQ, the extra base setting automatically switches off, which... I guess it's ok, but slightly annoying I would say.. hehe. Not sure why Anker set this up that way... It might make sense. Just noticing, in case others are interested.

Great video, Oluv. I just listened to both speakers at home, and your clip reflects the sound impression very well! Nicely done. Motion+ is more "meaty", punchy, more full of substance, while Stockwell 2 has more spacial, stereo-like feel, some extra spice, extra interesting layer. Here is an idea: listen to both simultaneously. You can use them both with your phone - have the cake and eat it, too! I tried, and the combo sounds great! :) Better than each of them separately. In the combo, each speaker adds a different factor to the sound, so you get both meaty, substantial sound, and the extra spacial, extra-interesting dimension to it.

thanks a lot for this nice comment

You have a really nice taste of music, much more musical and "emotional" than tracks you have used on YouTube (copyright). That’s why i like what you do, you didn’t only made me buy good speakers, you have educated me to know how a music is supposed to be, better than ncs noises

the JBL has more kick especially at levels above half, below I would favor the Marshall probably.

Well a coincidence i was thinking about asking you about the marshall too but now is just more like a QA no real need to make a video :), so do you think that the marshall compares against jbl xtreme 3 at normal lvls up to 60%? i mean bass seems similar as for treble i assume having a way better treble. That's why i also own one so it really had me curious.
