This is the perceived response of the Mr. Speakers Ether CX measured with my own ears and the default tuning pads, it comes with various kinds of felt-pads, but they all do not really improve the sound rather make it even more muddy.
I am not sure about the measured imbalance for left and right, which may also be a measuring error as my microphones died shortly after, but actually I asked Drop for another unit as I was sure the first one must have been broken, when I heard it for the first time. But actually the replacement sounded exactly the same with a somehow compressed dynamics lacking any sparkle. For a 900$ headphone this is a huge disappointment, at least for me, although many seem to be anyhow satisfied with it when looking at all the user reviews.
