Sonos Roam
Added 2021-03-13 18:57:09 +0000 UTCBefore everyone starts asking about the upcoming Sonos Roam, I had ordered one but it will be dispatched on April 20th thus still some time to go....
I won’t have the Charge 5 until then as it’s definitely not a speaker I would like to keep. It’s not bad sounding, JBL does really well usually also keeping the sound nicely unter control but it lacks this particular “soul”, it’s boring it’s too 1-dimensional and I don’t think it’s worth the price, but it would be quite interesting to compare both JBL and Sonos directly as they cost exactly the same but target 2 completely different audiences. Therefore I would try to get hold of another one maybe as a loaner from Mediamarkt if there was interest in hearing both of them directly.
I will try to optimise my new recording method as good as possible until then as I think that I should be able to offer even more realistic results with the self-referencing method.

I'm thinking also to buy and compare with my JBL Flip 4 and B&O Beosound A1, but what I've read so far, makes me a bit skeptical about the bass if will be good enough, but i like the features and that makes great team with an iPhone (airplay 2). Looking forward for your review Oluv. Thanks!

2021-03-14 02:34:11 +0000 UTCIm very excited for this speaker but it is smaller than i expected is 6 1/2 inches long is smaller than the envaya 250 8 1/2 inches and also the driver lay out is just as the charge 5, one woofer and one tweeter. The good thing is you can stereo pair but is about $340 for such a small speakers.
2021-03-13 19:11:16 +0000 UTCI don't know... Driver layout is the same as in charge 5 I hope at least tuning will be better. It's the same price if I'm correct but with sonos you have also wifi connectivity. Another different thing is usage of class H amplifiers. Never seen this in any bt speaker.
2021-03-13 19:03:20 +0000 UTCNo that one sounded really hollow at least at the store but the lamp was good I liked it more and asked IKEA if there was a way to get a unit for a review but there wasn’t and I didn’t want to spend that much money
