How would you revitalize this?
Added 2022-03-22 18:57:01 +0000 UTCHey hello, so as some of you may know, I am currently with my finishing months of a very long art related degree, I've studied for quite a while and I'm finally almost out, this of course took plenty of time to get done as you might've seen.
Through the years things have of course changed and I've been quite busy with my studies as such content has decreased and things have also shifted with interest changes and people being less interested in my content in general.
Here's where you could help me figure things out since I feel like a nobody at this point in time, how can I make you and others interested in investing on this person once again? What would you like to see, would you like to see the implementation of tier rewards, maybe psd stuff, I dunno. I've been revolving at around 130 usd average for years now and it is the time for me to either emerge or completely retire from this business.
I still want to thank eveyone here since the support you've all given me has made me hold on to this dream for far longer than I would've.
I want to hear you guys out, trust me I read every single one of your replies, sometimes I just don't know how to answer but I do appreciate dearly all your suggestions.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and may you all have wonderful times now and in the future.
Your unsucessful artist,
COG

Congratulations on earning your art degree! This is truly an achievement to be proud of. To be honest, I can't really think of any additional things that need to be done to keep my interest. Maybe it's because as a latecomer to the MLP/EQG fandom, it's all relatively new to me (even though G4 wrapped up some time ago). In any case, you'll continue to have my enthusiastic support - whether it's through Patreon or commissions (whenever you feel ready to take them). Thanks for all the great work you've done and hope to see more of it in the future...

2022-03-23 04:52:18 +0000 UTCYou should be more active with the community. Put up polls, add tiers with better rewards to incentivize people, put your art out across other platforms, and most importantly: branch out with different art. MLP is nice and all and you should definitely keep doing it, but if you do art from other properties, like a favorite game or show, it could really bring in more people.

2022-03-23 03:52:02 +0000 UTCI think the biggest thing you can do is just put out more publicly posted art. Perhaps ask commissioners that their stuff is not kept private, for example. Visibility is everything for an online artist. I still like pone girls just fine, but I'll readily admit it's a static market - G4 is over and G5 won't grow. You should definitely keep posting some pone girls to keep your old fans - like me - happy, but draw other fanarts as well, and original works are just fine too. Lewds in particular - as is always, people are just much more receptive to lewds, horny serves like a grease for interest. Don't feel bad, either, man. You're finishing a degree, that's not unsuccessful; you effectively haven't entered full-fledged working life yet. You will soon. I'm in a similar boat to yours myself, though in a different field. So don't get discouraged and just draw - draw what you like above all, though don't forget to get paid too. I hope I'll be able to stay with you on this. Alas, it's not entirely in my hands - my card is at risk of being cancelled and I wouldn't be able to get a working replacement for dumbass reasons outside my control, so this might be our last month as artist and patron. Still, even if I'm gone from the sub list against my will, I'm glad I've been here all this time and contributed something to you, as thanks for your fine lewds. I'm always there in emails if need be, unless that somehow dies too.

2022-03-22 22:38:57 +0000 UTCI have to agree, starting from scratch would not be a good idea, branching into other social media and synchronizing them would do you some good. And extending into other fandoms is a good idea. Also maybe be more forthcoming about commission availibity.

2022-03-22 21:31:16 +0000 UTCHaving to deal with real-world issues doesn't mean you're a nobody. Just means you had a shift in priorities for a while. I know I enjoy your work, and others do as well; I'd hate to see you leave. You could always publish small sketches here, or even just doodles for your own sake. It's enjoyable to see- and the girls you draw are all lovely. Would hate to see that go.

2022-03-22 19:28:35 +0000 UTCFirst of all, congrats on your degree and I hope that it takes you places. As for what to do about how to grow this account and your online presence, here's what I can offer: -Don't start over from scratch. You already have a base and it's better to build on it. Starting over with new account/platform can be hell for any content creator. -Dou you have a Twitter account? It's fine if you don't want one, but that tends to be the way someone like me discovers art. -Expand your range of possible drawings. I've been following your work since you build up your audience with art primarily related to MLP/EQG. I still follow artists that still draw that, but it might help to branch out to art based on other properties. You could take initiative with that and start out what YOU want to draw. -Better synchronicity across your existing accounts. I often see art here that I don't ever see in, for example, Deviantart. -I know you have artist friends that can provide better advise than me, so don't be afraid to ask them. I hope this helps.

2022-03-22 19:13:16 +0000 UTCFirst off I wanna say congrats on your degree! You clearly worked hard to get that and I'm proud of you. Since I found you, you've always been favorite 2d artist! I wish I could commission you more! Tier rewards could help, maybe show some behind the scenes/work in progress stuff? Or maybe interact with the community more like ask "Who do you want to see next?" Or heck, just drawing stuff that YOU like can be nice to see! Whatever you do, I'm rooting for you! Congrats and keep up the awesome work!
