I was ready to get to work this morning when my dad contacted me that one of our family cats got euthanized due to not being able to eat anymore. The doctors found out the cat had pancreatic cancer so the chances of saving him were zero, especially with him being 15 years old. He wasn't a housecat so he was already 3 years above the life expectancy. It was the right move, else it would've just prolonged the suffering he had to endure.
I need time to mourn, because that cat has been part of my most formative years.

I know what it’s like to lose a long time pet like that. At some point they aren’t just a pet but a part of your life. Sorry for your loss, time heals all wounds so don’t worry about taking more than you need.
