I'm sorry for the lack of a proper (bigger) post, but it's been a bit rough the past few days.
I think no one except one or two people who watch my livestreams know that we were at the vet a couple of times this month. It was because both of our guinnea pigs losing weight and we wanted it to get checked out. They had parasites which we thought impaired their eating habits which caused the weight loss. Fast forward a couple of weeks. Even though we fed them various vegetables and hay we only managed to keep them at the same weight.
On Monday one of our guinnea pigs lost weight again and was kinda apathetic when we checked on it in the morning. We brought both to the vet again, it died over-night while they kept the second one till this evening. It had lost some more weight even though they fed it.
According to the vet the guinnea pig had some kind of virus which caused a couple of organs to shut down. Our fear is that our other guinnea pig catched the same virus. We are still optimistic, currently feeding it, keeping it warm and all that stuff in the hopes that it might gain some weight. It's active at the moment.
If it's in the clear again we will bring it to the nearest animal shelter, because guinnea pigs shouldn't be alone for longer time periods. Because we got them before my girlfriend got severe burnout and depression she was able to take care of them but with one of them gone now it's for the best to give it away (when it's totally fine again) instead of getting a new one that's roughly the same age.
As you may expect the past few days and kinda the last month had been draining. Did a bit of self care last night and today till we went to pick the remaining pig up.
I managed to finish the sketches I had planned for today but got no other work on anything else done. I may have to start streaming on both of my main slots to get everything done in time which means that my work on the storyboard is paused.
I tried to avoid it, but RL stuff always gets in the way at the end of the month it seems.
Sorry for the long post, I always tend to write my heart out with that 100% transparency rule of mine.
Thanks for your patience as always,
Aron
PS: I will greet new Patrons in tomorrow's post!
