Demon Jean with the Naughty Clock - cancelled collaboration

Hi guys! Some time ago I have been approached by BeYourLover company to work on promoting their toy - the Naughty Clock. I already worked with one of their reps in the past while working with PinkPunch so I knew what to expect communication-wise. Both of the companies are really fast to respond and mostly give a free hand to the artist to do whatever they want. So I can't lie - I am always stoked to work with them.

Unfortunately this time the collaboration didn't come fully into fruition. I got paid for the drawing while the toy was being shipped so I could test it out. After some time the toy arrived and I had a chance to figure out ins and outs of it. The packaging was super cute, all of the little add-ons made the unboxing really exciting and the toy itself felt really premium in touch.

Unfortunately the testing of it made me unable to follow through with the collaboration.
As much as the quality of the product seemed amazing I stumbled upon so many manufacturing errors that I had to politely decline posting an advertisement for this product.

Here is the list of issues that I experienced with the model I received:

😔 The clock function was completely fucked. Every 24 hours the clock was loosing 30 minutes.
😔 Every midnight the alarm turned on that if not turned off manually would repeat itself multiple times and last 1 minute each.
😔 Once turned on - the clock could never be turned off (to deal with the alarm at midnight issue)
😔 Since there was no way for me to turn it off - I tired to wear the battery down. I let both the sucker and the vibrator run until they ran dry, then put them back in the base so such the energy out of it. At least that was the plan 💀 While both of the toy parts ran for 20 minutes straight (just left aside so they had no contact with anything that could cause the problem that showed up), they started to heat up. While heated up - the sucker stopped working properly and the membrane got sucked in and stuck. I tried to lift it up a bit to help it out of this stuck position, but when I did so - the outer lining of the sucker... just peeled off exposing the inside of the toy - fully covered in glue like substance 💀

I reported the issue to the representative and they were very apologetic for the experience I had. They said that it might have been a faulty unit and promised to send another one so I can test it. I chatted with the rep for a while and after some time they came back to me with the information that indeed the product has issues and the manufacturer will be working on solving the issue.

I haven't opened the second unit yet since I'm afraid I'll have another one that will go off every night at the midnight it is showing - every night 30 minutes later 😩 At least I can give it that - the battery on this thing is damn strong. It has been weeks since I turned it on and it's still going strong 😅

I couldn't and can't recommend this toy with a clear consciousbut I did draw a cute Jean promoting it so I may at least show you that~

So until the issues are fixed, I'll be refraining form recommending this toy - to my sadness, since the design is so fucking cute and I love inconspicuous nature of it! 😭 Maybe it was the model I received, maybe a bigger batch - if you're going to want to give it a try, please keep in mind it may be possible that some or all of the issues I had with it may occur.
