I really think that Marccus totally knocked it out of the park with this background. From the steaming water in the Japanese bath to the cherry blossoms floating in, it's all just wonderfully rendered. I think it makes a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful guy. It's just so pretty.
(Oh, and why is Tsunami standing in front of a Japanese bath? Well, because first, water, but second because I think Japanese soaking tubs are cool. And I figured the big guy deserved a nice place to relax. So, that's why. :) )

Now, though, I really like the fact that he looks as if he's sharing a part of his character that (for mysterious reasons) we haven't seen much of in this book so far. The background simply makes it look like he enjoys the occasional spa day... smart man. I'd like to agree with Nadin, it's nice to think that he has an interest in Japanese culture.

2015-05-30 09:10:59 +0000 UTCYou know what my reaction was when I saw this? ... I simply started to smile... I don't know, I'm just in LOVE with Japanese culture! Not only due to my love for Manga though, rather they brought the J-culture so close to me :) I love their bathing culture, If I ever have enough money I'll totally visit Japan and go to an onsen myself! best would be in April when those Sakura are blossoming just like they do in this awesome background :D It's very sensual and I can totally understand why the else so grim Gordon can't help but to smile as gorgeous as that :)
