Sneak Peek Sundays #11
Added 2015-06-22 23:28:21 +0000 UTCThanks to a San Francisco Sunday too lovely to be spent inside on the computer, I'm yet again officially declaring Monday a "bonus Sunday" and sharing a Sneak Peek Sunday work-in-progress image with you today.
And this one is a fun one: it's the Safe-for-Work pencils for Kyle's Romance Card art!
If you recall, the Romance Cards are one pack of four different kinds of Trading Cards I'm creating for the Kickstarter backers, and when this image is colored, it will be the art for the front of the card. My goal with the Romance Card art was to have each piece feel like a "calendar pin-up" and is there anything more "calendar pin-up"-y than a shirtless "fireman" in front of a fire truck? I don't think so!
What I do think is that main The Young Protectors line-artist Adam DeKraker has done a superb job with this. I love the little fire trim on Kyle's shorts that reference his main uniform. (And that the shorts are held up by suspenders! lol That's awesome!) I can't wait to see it colored. :D
So this is the Safe-for-Work version. Next week, I'll share the NOT Safe-for-Work version that'll show what's hiding behind those flame-trimmed shorts. (And this Wednesday there will be a very special Wonderful Wednesday that will reveal similar secrets—stay tuned for that!)

Next week. I've been traveling (last week was SDCC, now I'm in an airport about to fly to Tampa for Rainbow Con) and it's been kicking my butt a bit. But life gets back to normal next week, so I'll be able to catch up with posts then. I'm glad to hear you're looking forward to that. :)
