Sneak Preview: Legendary Chapter 3 Cover Art

Howdy y'all!

I just posted the last page of Legendary: Chapter 2 ("Together") on Saturday, which means we're all set to jump into the thrilling, final chapter of this story arc: "The Death of Spooky Jones." 

I'm really looking forward to sharing this new chapter with y'all for a lot of reasons, but, of course, one of the biggest reasons is that I'm getting the chance to work with Engaging the Enemy line artist Adam DeKraker again.  There's a reason I've worked with Adam for over 6 years: I love collaborating with him, I love how Veronica Gandini colors his pencils, and I love his painstakingly-detailed, beautifully "acted," and all-around stunning art. No one realizes the character and stories I'm trying to tell like he does—he just gets what I'm trying to do like no other artist, and he does it with such style. Now, as one of my awesome Patrons, I wanted to give you a sneak preview of some very special art that he created for this upcoming chapter!

As a creator, I've been able to experiment with a bunch of new things with the "Legendary" arc, and one of the more fun things has been the addition of chapter cover art. For Chapters One and Two, I took advantage of art that Adam had previously created for The Young Protectors' Trading Cards. But for Chapter 3, I wanted to commission something brand-new from Adam—a cover page that foreshadowed all the romance, mystery and danger of this final part of  "Legendary."  I then hired long-time Young Protectors  cover colorist Alex Sollazzo to bring Adam's amazing linework to life.

You can see the happy result above this post—and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. Adam and Alex S. totally hit this one out of the park.  When I saw the first pass of pencils for this cover, I got so excited for what Adam and I were going to do together with Chapter 3, I literally danced around the room. I hope that this sneak preview gets y'all a little excited for what's to come too. :)

(I needed to expand the image in Photoshop to get it to be the right size for a phone wallpaper, but I think it turned out OK.)
