Script for Legendary Chapter Three, Pages 44

I'm glad you like it, Malik, and that reading the script gives a fuller picture. That's a big reason why I share the script pages here. :)

Thank you for your very thoughtful comment here, Ty. While my first duty is to create an entertaining superhero comic, one of the main themes of "Engaging the Enemy" was "triumphing over abuse." Obviously, that's a theme that important to me, so I'm not surprised you're seeing echoes of it here. It's fun for me to read your thoughtful reaction.

It's interesting reading the script (something i don't always remember to do). Some of the details that are indicated here, i didn't pick up in seeing the finished page. For example, i didn't get that the rift had closed before Anaado could get to it. Intriguing... it adds perspective to the story.

I dropped out of comments here for a bit and was just watching the pages on Yaoi 911, but I came in to look at the script page given Anaado’s accusation. I still think Anaado is being unreasonable here, and I feel for Spooky. Anaado thinks that love should conquer all, and is underestimating the power and complexity of trauma on a human being. I mean, Anaado’s ignorance is understandable if Spooky is the only human he knows. But still, the fact of the matter seems to be a traumatized demon becoming the abuser of a traumatized human, and that dynamic is all too familiar in real life, where the abuser is so narrowly focused on what they feel are the wrongs perpetrated against them by the world that they refuse to recognize that what they are doing now is victimizing an innocent person. There is still so much of the story missing between these two, but Anaado’s demand that Spooky give up his existence so that Anaado can escape is untenable.
