Of course, the question might be a red herring. But assuming for fun that it isn't, well, there really aren't that many known players in this universe who have the ability to do what "Anaado" is doing. I mean, there's the Platinum Priestess, who seems capable of any given thing, and is sneaky, and is still out there somewhere, and might well set up this elaborate charade, pulling memories out of Spooky's mind to get him to willingly let "her" possess him in much the same sense that she orchestrated using Annihilator to get Kyle to consent to a demonic ritual. And there's Commander, who on the one hand has too much respect for her team's trust and consent to do anything like this lightly, but who on the other hand doesn't shy away from doing what needs doing. If she were convinced that there was a dangerous potential weakness in Spooky's psychic/spiritual defenses and that this was the only/best way to test that weakness and reinforce it if need be, then she would do it, however distasteful or outright destructive of their trust it might prove. Still, she would need one HELL of a reason. And it would be bad storytelling to go through all this without giving us any foreshadowing that such a reason existed. I haven't gone back looking, but I don't remember anything that qualifies. I can't think of a third candidate, though I'd have to go through the series again looking for "throwaway" references that fit the profile to be confident there isn't one. So, pending going back looking for other candidates or Commander foreshadowing, my first-choice bet is that the question is a red herring and "Anaado" is a new player (perhaps someone else from Spooky's hellish past) and my second-choice bet is PP.
