Good eye, Malik. Adam told me that he wanted to spend more time rendering the thumbnail sketches for this chapter in the hopes that it would help speed up his penciling. It's a tricky balance—the more time Adam spends on the thumbs, the more painful it is to make revisions. (And the thumbnail stage is when you want to make the most revisions.) And it's not like he's been slow with his pencilwork as it is. But I'm always up for trying something new with our process if an artist feels it'll work better for them. And it's certainly more fun for me to receive more rendered art right out of the gate. :)

2019-02-22 18:33:17 +0000 UTCI’m curious: has Adam’s approach to “pencilling” these thumbnails changed? Lately they seem much more detailed than they used to. (And more like pencil.) Or maybe it’s just the lighter weight lines show more of the initial detail? Not sure, but I like them!
