When would you like me to host my first livestream?

Howdy y'all!

So, a few weeks back I asked if you would be interested in me hosting a Q&A livestream, and y'all said yes with a 60% in-favor vote (and many of you who answered "no" let me know in the comments that you did want to see me host a livestream, but you just didn't want me to incur additional expense.)

And the truth of the matter is that the more I think about it, the more excited I am to make this happen. It's been over a year since I've done a convention, and I really miss the ability to directly connect with y'all in realtime.  It's really energizing to hear what y'all think of the work and what it means to you, particularly when we can have a little back-and-forth.

So, let's do this!

As I mentioned before, Crowdcast offers all the features I'd want for my awesome readers: 

• a Question form where y'all can vote on questions you submit in advance
• a chat room
• automatic replays (meaning if you miss the livestream you'll be able to watch a recording immediately after)
• a single link for you to view those questions, the livestream and even the recorded playback—only one URL to keep track of
• no need for you to download any additional software (it works in all browsers)
• no fees for you, my readers
• rock-solid HD playback
• good support if there are problems or you have questions
• and more!

The concern I had was the expense—and y'all were very clear in the comments that you didn't want me to put myself in a bad financial position for this. (And thank you for that.)

Well, I reached out to the Crowdcast folks via their chat and actually got their CEO (!) on the line. He made it clear that with my 3-month Patreon discount, I could host this livestream for just $40, it could be one-time fee instead of monthly, and if we weren't absolutely delighted with it, I could have my money back, no questions asked. 

If it really is a great experience for y'all, I can certainly justify $40. And if it's not super-awesome for you, then I'll just ask for my money back. No harm, no foul.

(Long-time Patron Goodyear also suggested the service Picarto to me. It doesn't have any of the sexy features Crowdcast has, but it's free and a lot of other creators like it. Maybe that's something we can try for the next one, to compare and contrast.)

I'm eager to make this happen as soon as possible. Now I just need to know when it would be best for y'all for me to make this happen. I'm thinking 11:00 A.M. PST on a weekend day since that would be 2:00 P.M. on the East Coast of the U.S. and not too late in Europe (8pm before DST, and 7:00 P.M. after). And I could do it Saturday or Sunday.
