00:03:45 (continue from 1st video) The topic of mental health came up in a team meeting at work this month when someone asked questions around the level of depression and anxiety on the rise in our wider team and that it seemed that so many of the younger staff were going through it. Genuine questions were asked around the fact that it felt like so many people were using mental health as a reason for their level of work performance, especially in teams that work together regularly. What was interesting though was the number of questions around the validity of people going through debilitating issues and whether it’s just the ‘in thing now’ to blame your mental health for the reason behind how a person is performing in their role. Any thoughts on how you would respond to this?
00:08:30 Can you please talk about transference. What if your scared you depend on your therapist, but your promises to be here next time is what is keeping you going? When you can’t ask personal questions of them, yet you have so many. I don’t like touch at all but I want a hug from her. How can you move from this? What can we do?
00:10:45 What are your thoughts about people who are empaths? I find whenever I am around my family who don't open up about their thoughts and their own feelings, I get distressed because their energy/actions start mixing with my own too much, and I literally ask them to open up because I feel like I'm losing myself in their thoughts and haven't properly understood what my needs as an empath was. Or more accurately, how would you evaluate someone who claims to be a True Empath? We are sensitive, and really resilient, but how do we learn to identify, empower, and protect ourselves when needed?
