Wonderful Wednesdays #56

The Platinum Priestess Origin Card Art

Thanks to hitting the $2500/month Milestone Goal. I've been posting up Digital Kickstarter Rewards for $5+ Patrons to enjoy.

And since we are going full NSFW (and full sausage-fest) with our regular comic pages, I figure it's a great time to share some more original art featuring another powerful woman from The Young Protectors: The Platinum Priestess!

I recently realized that there were a few Kickstarter pin-ups I never shared with y'all here on Patreon, and one of these was The Platinum Priestess's Origin Card art (from the Trading Cards).

Here we have a scene of The Platinum Priestess from way back in the day, when she was still a blonde and fighting demon hordes the old fashioned way—with a magical stabby stick! (Hmm. Maybe she wasn't always a villain?) Looking pretty kick-ass there, Ms. Sircea!

The linework is by Gabriel Mayorga and colors are by Alex Sollazzo and you can download your wallpaper here:

I'll be sending out a high-res version of this art for $10+ backers once I'm notified payments are confirmed on the 10th of November -- so if you'd like to see a version of this with over twice the resolution, you'll be able to do that!

Please let me know what you think of these pin-ups in the comments below!

More soon!

I too would like to see more backsides. Especially Kyle's. :P

Were you once a demon fighter, my friend? :)

Alex Woolfson

Truthfully Alex. Some of this does kinda remind me of days past. Thanks for that.

You're very welcome, Lee! I'm really glad you like it! :)

Alex Woolfson

Awesome work of art! Thank you

Hey Arthur, the Kickstarter backers who pledged for the book were sent the actual Trading Cards as part of their physical rewards so they got to see the whole thing. And I will be making the backside information available for the digital-only backers in a wrap-up post in the next little bit before launching the next Kickstarter. But currently I don't have any plans to share that text anywhere else, since a lot of the fun of the physical cards is the surprise of reading the text. But I'll let you know if my thinking on that changes. :)

Alex Woolfson

This reminds me: we -- that is Kickstarter and/or Patreon supporters -- got all the frontside art for the trading cards, but as far as I remember we never got the text. Maybe you could make the full backsides of the cards a thing for Wonderful Wednesdays? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

Arthur
