Using aloe for burns skipped my thoughts. Years ago when I went to college I left a card table filled with beautiful and exotic cactus and succulents in my parents basement. I had lithops and other Saharan beauties that required teaspoons or eyedroppers of water. My mother decided that all the plants needed watered and put them in the laundry tub, soaked the sandy soils and then set them back on the table. When I got home a month later, it was a total and mass sacrifice of the little darlings. To a plant, rotted.

2018-01-10 14:46:53 +0000 UTCYeah, I liked that detail too. Kyle himself would never need them (provided his usual immunity to burns extended to sunburns too). So he would have them around for company, perhaps a habit left over from when he was first learning to control his powers.
