PayPal, PayOneer and a sore throat...
Added 2014-09-06 06:40:13 +0000 UTCAlright, so here is how it is... Patreon have made some changes in the way that creators form abroad (such as yours truly) can withdraw their funds. First of all it is now way easier to make the withdraw through PayPal. Last month (and every month before that) it looked like this: I request the payment, it takes Anthony a couple of day to approve it then maybe in another few days I get the payment... Now it's way simplier: all I need to do is click a button "withdraw with PayPal" and it happens instantly. The limitations on my Russian PayPal account didn't go anywhere of course. But now I can work around it without the need to bother Anthony or anyone else. Here is how I did it this month: your pledges are not processed all at once. So by the the end of the month my Patreon balance increases gradually over 2-3 days... So for example I check it and it's $100, then I check it again in a few hours and it's $300... So I need to catch a right moment and make a withdraw before it goes over my $3000 PayPal limit. If I do that every month - I'm golden. If I miss "the sweet spot" then I will have to bother Anthony again I suppose... But that is PayPal... Now, Patreon also added an option of direct bank account withdraws via PayOneer. I did not try it yet, but I think it should work just fine since PayOneer specializes in working with international clients. So as soon as I encounter and unsolvable problem of any sort with PayPal I can jump the ship and use PayOneer instead. I don't think I need to explain to you guys how good it make me feel to just know that an option is out there. (!!!!!) And finally to the last bit of news: this morning I woke up "with a cactus down my throat"... Yeah, managed to catch a cold somehow... But there is nothing I can do, it's always a waiting game with the cold. Just need to make sure to drink enough fluids and stuff... Probably will tale it slow and easy today... 2014-09-09 06:32:11 +0000 UTCAmoxicillin is so weak it is no longer even prescribed with any regularity. It is one step above penicillin. You can get it without a prescription just by walking into the pharmacy and signing for it, much like codeine cough syrup.. At least here in the states, anyway.
