Well my credit card got rejected again, also with no flagging or notification from my bank. HOWEVER, paypal seems to have gone through today, although I'm not sure if its from my incessant emails to patreon or if it simply worked around whatever issues are causing my credit card to fizzle on payment.

This thread is no doubt in the dust of yesterday but I have a couple of updates: 1) My bank said the following "A review of your account indicates no holds or blocks have been placed on your account by BANKNAME nor have any transactions been declined by BANKNAME systems. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise why the merchant did not approve this specific transaction. " Thus its likely a patreon issue, as my paypal also didn't end up processing the pledges after 2 days. 2) Patreon replied and said that I should be able to "Retry Card" in the payment settings, however I did not see it, likely due to switching payment methods. I deleted and reinputted my credit card details, and set that to default payment method. Ideally this should have a better outcome, as according to the FAQ, they'll keep trying to process the pledges every 48 hours. I'll update this if it managed to rectify the problem.

Yeah... PayPal works then... But three or four months ago it was a whole issue about people not being use PayPal to support "NSFW" artists on patreon...

Well, like I said, it is still enough to give me a proper living so I am not complaining. The only problem for me that the big number on my main page is a bit misleading.

Well, the actual number is always smaller then the one one my page. Patreon always takes at least 10%. But I recently discovered that even if patreon's card gets rejected his pledge still shows up in the main page until I delete his pledge manually... And I have people pledge $50 and then their payment never comes through for example... So I plan to clean some of the rejected pledges in the middle of the month somewhere simply to get the number a bit closer to reality. I wouldn't care for such a think much, normally. But like you said - there is a difference between $7000 and $4000.

I understand you're still happy to receive a lot of support and you don't want to appear like an ass, but losing ~2000 bucks is kind of a big deal. Shit happens and I hope this gets resolved as I'm sure a lot of people just need to update their payment info.

Well this should be an interesting experiment then; All the things I'm pledging to produce something NSFW, and I sent an email to patreon when I switched payment methods asking them to hurry it through. I'll let you know the results. Additional info; I spent >300 in November on Patreon with no issue, and I only have ~$24 debt on my card as of this morning. Nothing appeared to have been flagged, at least according to my online banking. I also sent them an email, so I'll let you know the results of that too.

Does the Paypal payments get through properly? I read people saying Paypal can't be used for adult material (afaik this is an issue months ago) but for some reason I still can.

Well, it says pending. I've got tons of school shit to take care of before finals next week. I'll check back on Friday when I get a few minutes and see if it got resolved, if not I'll talk to my bank before they close.

Mhm I'd say Patreon screwed up with something. My card got rejected for some reason (but it worked the last three months) and it has nothing to do with having no coverage. I had to readd it as payment option and now I'm not sure if it will try again this month or if it skips this payment.

PayPal doesn't "see" that you are paid money. Patreon is paid money and then Patreon pays you. So as long as they don't decide to blacklist Patreon there shouldn't be a problem with PayPal.

That's what I also thought at first. But because I have no credit card, I stayed with paypal. So far no problem.

PayPal works fine for me. Every month my Patreon donations are paid automatically with PayPal (who then withdraw the money from my bank account).

I've considered fallowing you on HU, but 25 bucks a month would be tough for me right now. And even then, don't they take a large portion? I would rather give you 25 bucks a month on Patreon knowing you get (almost) all of it, then pay 25 bucks for you to get 5. Am I missing out on much? Do you do a lot of Top Secret HU updates you don't tell us about?

I'll check my statement, because I'm fairly sure they said they'd charged me $10 after I confirmed the card I was using. If they charged me and you didn't receive it I should think someone needs to be notified

Nah... My account is $0. Which is weird because usually it would charger people little by little and number would change gradually. Looks like this time everyone got charged at once and who wasn't well, they were moved to the next month I suppose. About the payment: mine got rejected because i had forgot to add money on the card but that shouldn't be a problem, it had happened once before some months ago and it fixed itself as soon as i put some money on the card. This time instead, even though i added money right away, the "retry" option from last time didn't seem to work and it looked like i was a new supporter saying payiment will start from the next month, i have no idea why so please don't delete me!

Bear in mind Akabur, Patreon can take several days to process payments. I would ask support before deleting any potentially pending patrons and assuming they where rejected.

Ok, no guessing, your Ashelins are amazing so no complains from here. ^^ And complaining is good, My case for example I have not been processed, no rejection, just in "limbo", I suppose there are others in my situation so expect more coins going your way. I know that my card ran until this month. I got a new one last month and switched over to that one. I changed the card on Patreon, and I noticed that the process is quite convoluted. There is an option to change your donations to another card, but when you do so and then delete the old card, the donations are gone. So I had to add them again, which makes it seem like I am a new contributor (which I am not). I got a notice that payment was processed, but I can imagine that you lost some people's donations due to the awkward way that Patreon handles card switching.
