Barns (the renegade).

Alright, here is Barns. In original "market" story-line you hire him right out of the Crimson Guard. But apparently it's going to be a bit different now, and when you meet him for the first time he is already a full-fledged renegade. So tried to incorporate that into his overall design. And I documented the whole process of coloring this time.In case your are curious how "magic" happens, here are the vids. And it took me a while to figure out how to rotate the picture instead of mirroring it horizontally, so please don't get alarmed when you see me drawing with my left hand.VIDEOS ON DAILYMOTION.COM: PART 01: http://dai.ly/x2c3ah7PART 02: http://dai.ly/x2c3gq7PART 03: http://dai.ly/x2c2woxPART 04: http://dai.ly/x2c3ms0PART 05: http://dai.ly/x2c4d17PART 06: http://dai.ly/x2c4fwpPART 07: http://dai.ly/x2c4jx5PART 08: http://dai.ly/x2c4mrlAs for the thing... Well...Still waiting for proofreading to be finished. Patiently waiting of course. I also remember how Lyk.D9 said that it won't take him more then a few days. But I knew how heavy+ the game is on text and of course I knew that it will take way longer then that. It's been 2 weeks now and it's still not done. I understand that completely though. It took me more then half a year to write it, so of course proofreading and editing will take a while. Also I can't imagine how tiresome it must be to read through my texts interspersed with labels, variables and flags.

Thank you so much for the vids !

Flash is..was the evil of the internet. Its officially dead, and no one regrets that. Are you using any of kind of version control system behind the mountains of code?

Sounds like Lyk.D9 should start looking out his windows...

chippy

Well, there is an upside to that: since it lacks any fancy attachments the script looks simple enough for my dumb brain to actually make some sense of it. Also it never crashes and I can ALWAYS figure out what's causing this or that problem. I am just remembering working with FLASH... Constant crashes and unexplained bugs. Well, that's how it was for me at least. But yeah, my scripts are walls of text.....

AKAMAN

Interesting watch. Thanks for sharing.

"Also I can't imagine how tiresome it must be to read through my texts interspersed with labels, variables and flags." Ren'Py is a procedural nightmare. God I can only imagine the horror you have to go through as you scroll through monolithic god scripts Ren'Py forces you to write.

dingo egret

Heh, yeah... It was a bit irritating...

AKAMAN

Dude is working his ass of for the sake of all of us. Of course it's not fun. He has the game though, it's just how he always chooses to work. And yes, I myself hate spoiler and try to shield you guys from them if i can help it.

AKAMAN

Awesome videos, I always love watching you work. And I must say I'm impressed with your ability to stay concentrated and focused with all that banging in the background, ten minutes of that and I would be going out of my mind. Oh and the picture looks great btw. :)

J.D.

Wait so that means your proofreader didn't get to play the game before us but just got handed the raw text files? In that case I don't have to envy him. Better to experience the whole thing without knowing parts of it already. I'm really thankful for you keeping a tight lid on anything about HT before the release, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from reading it and (slightly) spoil the fun in the process.

balduindrake

looking forward to see more :)

Dorago

Of course I keep you guys in the loop. You invest my projects!

AKAMAN

I couldn't really hand it over because it was not mine to begin with. All five pages of the comic were commissioned. But I really liked the writing and I am a huge fun of the original game, so I was happy to work on it and would glad to see it developed properly this time and turned into a game even. But all I will be doing is drawing occasional pictures, that's.

AKAMAN

Looks pretty badass, great work, once i see how the magic is done i will comment on that. I am of the few who can wait, the game is on Its last steps so if i waited for months a few more days are nothing. Looking good man.

Ace

I'll hardly be one to admit that the wait is easy, but the anticipation is something I'm savoring as well. It's also really cool of you to keep us in the loop. And I'm getting really excited for some continuation of "The Market" as well!

Pandion

To make a guess. Did you hand over your Jak&Daxter project over to him to finish? Cool either way.
