Lesson one.

So I attended a live drawing class for the first time in 2 years or so... (Here is Rostov. The VanArts thing is in the plans for the future nothing more). Was very exciting... Especially when at the begging of the class the teacher sat me down to draw a cylinder (construction lines only), just to test my level of skill, and after I was done she gave the result of my work a good long look and after an equally long pause said: "Well, your level is pretty much zero, I see". Heh... Oh, well, if I can draw like this with a zero level, imagine what will I be able to do with some proper drawing training. Well, in any case, this is what I brought back from my first lesson (This pic above).Next lesson is on Monday. I will keep you posted. And I work on the "Gold Edition" of course. I'll try to organize a sneak peek of some sort eventually...

Lesson one. Lesson one.

Good that you make money by beeing a level 0 Artist. Just think how much you could make if you level up^^

I'm honestly surprised you didn't get irritated at the teacher' straight faced comment of you having "zero level" despite you yourself knowing you're more than that. Pretty ruthless comment for a teacher. If that was me having YEARS of experience on something and I get that comment, I'd flip out! (secretly that is)

Sneak peek! Sneak peek!! :D

Skull616

Great news, keep improving your skills till lvl 1000 and make us bleed with your work.

So your first lesson is to draw a vibrator egg ? I can wait to see you draw the person on which it will be used :D I like how you allways try to improve yourself :)

Sounds to me like Jimi Hendrix in a school for classical music. His teachers wouldn't have said: "Hey Jimi you rock, man." It would have been way more likely for them to say: "Your chords are all wrong, Mr. Hendrix. Grab yourself a Violin and try not to set it on fire while you are playing." So, if you feel like you are learning something useful, stay tuned. If not, keep it with Jimi who once said: "white-collar conservatives flashing down the street pointing their plastic finger at me. They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die, but I'm gonna wave my freak flag high."

You have a long way ahead of you. Be prepared for 2-3 years of ass-boring regular training consisting mostly of drawing primitives, tableware, fruits and flowers, if you intend to reach decent level in traditional drawing. Ass-boring, but extremely important. After beginner level it gets more interesting. I mean, when you reach anatomy. I bet your style will change a lot.

Amm are you in the right class ? The pictures reminds me of geometry class. Had to start with the same drawings as i started out with engineering.

Marko

You, a zero? You have more talent in your pinkie than the instructor has in her whole body-we all seen your work!

FooldiverDX

You're like Spongebob in the "Artist Unknown" episode. You can draw amazingly with your natural talent, until an "art expert" who can't draw for shit ruins your ability.

*laughs* With me, it would likely have ended in her having a heart attack and somebody yelling: "It's - 9000!" (...if you are 0 ... ^_^")

SpiritWolf448

I like a lot how you take it, improve is important and as you say, if you are a 0 level then when you acquire skill you will be a true monster. Glad to read you hype, keep it uo, first Rostov, as an appeticer before Vanarts ^^

Hmm, I wander if I have gone to one of these classes I think she will kick me out of the class and throw all my subscription money at my face

And I failed English back in school...and now I make all-English games, life is full of irony.

SweGabe

Lies!!! Lies!!! We all know you are awesome at drawing. But its kinda like they say, "the beauty is in the eye of beholder". If you would draw some boobs I think she could have liked it more...
