What's your favorite panel on Page 162 of Double Cross CH 4?
Added 2023-10-25 04:42:00 +0000 UTCHowdy y'all!
And here's the poll for Double Cross CH 4, Page 162!
For Page 162, which of Adam and Vero's panels is your favorite?
(The panels are counted from left to right, and then top to bottom. For the top of this page, the panel on the left is Panel 1 and the panel on the right is Panel 2.)
I'm looking forward to finding out which one you'll choose!

I agree, Allen, something I really like about working with Veronica Gandini, my co-creator who' responsible for the colors, is how she uses color to create and distinguish character (and emotional tone.) She helps make a lot of complicated and intricate things clear. And her rendering adds a lot of realism to the comic, in my opinion. :) (Oh, and it might not be super clear in that panel, but I believe that "wallpaper" in Panel 2 is a totem. It's part of our style to color the backgrounds a bit more flat to help our characters pop.)

One of the things I really enjoy about working with Adam DeKraker, my co-creator who's responsible for the linework, is his amazing ability to depict emotional subtlety through body language and expressions. Working with him, I know I can add in lots of subtext into my scripts (and the notes I send him) and he just nails it every time. :)

2023-10-25 19:26:56 +0000 UTCPanel two shows such a strong connection between these guys. I love how Spooky’s hair highlights are purple, while Flyboy’s are the more traditional Superman blue. Also that bit of wallpaper down the left side is totally gratuitous fun. Great page!

2023-10-25 15:11:15 +0000 UTCI love how Spooky is drawing his knees up as he feels self-conscious, because this is a massive grown-up conversation that could have huge implications for him, personally, and Mitch is being so sincere. The top view shows they're sitting as close as possible without being on the sofa together, and are being so sensible, talking while not influenced by touch or kissing.
