So... guess you missed the part where Juno had been having an affair with the hero's husband... that's why she chopped Juno in the leg, not for accidentally killing the other woman. That was just a bonus (in her mind.) If you ever watch it again (hah) you'll see the many, many bits of info they give to sell that message. Also, you can find a copy that has the even darker ending. 😋
