I mention that in my YouTube intro, but ACTUALLY I think as the movie went on, I forgot that it was a Jason movie. Cuz it really isn’t, right? Like it is, but only at the end in the reveal when we find out that’s what’s driving things. That ending GOT ME. I SCREAMED in the edit as well it’s SO SUDDEN!!!! I really liked this one!!!

Usually, younger reviewers are already familiar with Jason from pop culture and have no idea that he isn't the actual killer in the first "Friday the 13th" movie - which is usually a fun reveal for the audience watching the confused reactor. Were you not already familiar with the character or his connection to these movies? Like Michael Myers is famous for "Halloween" and a few others are famous for their movies series?

2023-01-13 01:32:28 +0000 UTCI saw this in the theater when it was released, and one of my favorite movie-going memories was half the audience losing their shit at that ending. Years later, watching the movie with my mom (her, for the first time), when Jason popped up, my mom bounced right out of her chair and left the room. I wanted to console her, but was laughing so hard I couldn't speak, much less get up off the floor. She threw towels and oven mitts at me from the well-lit safety of the kitchen.
