The *only* part of this movie I don't like is the "They're dead! For what?!" It's just a little too on the nose. Thomas Jane absolutely emanating that sentiment with his performance already. The audience was already feeling it. Putting it into words wasn't necessary and felt just a little narmy. Great movie, though!

2023-06-24 04:21:25 +0000 UTCI watched that movie. I felt destroyed. I mean so destroyed that I felt it was necessary to very quickly trick my best friend into watching. At the end, I turned to my friend, and she was looking at me, balling her eyes out hard, like gushing. And I felt so guilty as her face got super red then asked, "Why!" I felt so bad. I mean, I had some sort of sick joy but also not absolutely. You know. I felt bad. I did.

Fun fact, Darabont wrote this with a black and white picture in mind but got pushed to make it color, I think by the studio, which is why some of the CG is a little spotty in places, I think the bluray release had a second option to watch in the intended black and white...different feel to it for sure.
