JAWS full-length reaction... ON THE WATER.

I watched Jaws on the water. Alone. At night. CUZ WHY NOT?

Also, in 2020, as the pandemic was happening and everybody was at home with nothing to do, I sent an email to Carl Gottlieb, a screenwriter who worked on the first three “Jaws” movies. He is actually in “Jaws,” portraying the portly editor of the island’s newspaper. Gottlieb wrote me back and the next day he called me and we talked for about three hours! He worked very closely with Spielberg on location because the production was, well, not ideal. The shark in the movie was really three giant mechanical sharks used in the film (plus a rig that had the dorsal and caudal fin). The sharks arrived on location before they could be tested and the conditions of the saltwater, wind and waves, all of that, it took a lot of time for the effects team to troubleshoot them. Because of this, they had some time to rewrite or polish the parts of the script without the shark in it, so he spent a lot of time with Spielberg and the actors working on scenes and dialogue. We talked about that and his work on the two sequels. Anyway, Gottlieb was a really nice guy and it was 100% the pandemic that made it possible to talk to him. I think he was bored and thought, sure, I’ll talk to a fan. That’s my little “Jaws” story.

Doing it on the water... Kat coming in clutch!

This was really really entertaining. SO glad you didn't encounter any lake sharks. They're the worst! So glad you loved this movie, absolutely a classic :)

"I hope nothing bad happens to this little sweetie" You jinxed it.

You know Kat... hmm.. how can I put this... the mosquito repellent... you have to put it on your skin... not on the mosquitoes. lol

The real horror of this is going to be Insecticide Poisoning, well you have done one in the woods and one in the water., I just hope your next video isn't "Fall" just saying. I always love your reactions; you're a trip, Kat.

Eddie Perkins

Fun fact: this movie has the same MPAA rating (PG) as Shrek. The ‘70s were a different time.

Well if this is the next level - and it IS hilariously impressive - I'm going to start recommending safer horror movies.

I love that you watched this on the water. They do group showings on a big screen where tons of people float on the lake. I always thought it would be cool to go to one. I also loved your appreciation for Hooper, as he is my favorite character. The monologue about the Indianapolis is one of my favorite scenes in any film. Exceedingly depressing when you know it really happened, but Shaw did such an amazing job with it.

If it did not take place in shark-infested waters, it doesn't count.

Kat! You're a madwoman!!!

You're gonna need a bigger raft.

"If something were to touch my butt right now, everything would go sideways." A universal feeling, I'm sure. ;)
