This was my second time watching and it hit harder. What a wonderful show that just breaks you in the end. I would have never watched any of Flanagen’s shows if you hadn’t reacted to Hill House. Thankfully you did because I would have missed out on some of the best storytelling of all time. It has been so great watching these with you! Now, on to the next…..

I'm always struck by 'Owen's line in his opening speech: "To truly love another person is to accept that the work of loving them is worth the pain of losing them." And every couple in the series ends up losing at least one partner. T_T You're so right about the symphonic aspects of Flanagan's work. These series are one of very very few where there is something praiseworthy to say about every element - writing, acting, editing, cinematography, staging, music etc etc etc. That is so so hard to pull off. You've just got to do The Fall of the House of Usher next. Can't leave the quadrilogy unfinished!
